Must say many contestants get away with history and similar ratings when they are underperforming, this evening the perfect example would be Pratibha and Sara, I am keeping Asma out of the discussion because of obvious reason. Sara seems to be singing from area around jaw and lacks depth, with this singing most of them would have failed to even qualify in the old days. This sort of singing with loads of smile on face in the name of expressive and emotive get 5 star rating, what a farce..!
Pratibha is usually a nervous starter and I have seen quite a few times her stumbling in begininng, she needs to connect with emotiion, kabhi neem neem kabhi shahad shahad was sung better by even Sanchita, at places pratibha went flat still they get history.
Yashita doesn't hit kharaj sur mostly, I would request some one to provide links for all her renditions and this can be proved with small effort. Zaheer seems to be degressing from before, his energy is all time problem, all these points should be pointed by mentors but every time what we hear is history.
On the other hand I find taruns rendition connecting with emotions despite going out of sur quite a few times, he has an attitude like Yashita and this shows in his singing.
