I really doubt the producers are counting the public votes. They are manipulating and are more concerned about TRPs. Asma from Oman is being kept back to lure audiences in the Gulf and Middle East. She has improved a lot since she first came and is a very sweet girl with dreams in her eyes, but that's not the challenge here. Such a pity that good singers are eliminated first. Shankar Mahadevan, in his diplomatic style rightly said to Asma "you are an important character and contestant on this show" They are definitely counting the votes, but just to guage the popularity of each contestant. 3 candidates from Mumbai Maharashtra make the scale lopsided,so they make the decisions themselves. I had brought up this issue earlier too. I hope the contestants realise that this is just a platform to showcase their talent and become a known face. And that's something too, because it opens so many doors right away. Like the talent is varied,so is the taste of the audience. So somewhere each one manages to touch a heart. Sob stories and drama are now an inevitable part of reality shows. Like some celebrity said and rightly so,"there's more acting on reality shows than in serials". Zaheer Abbas is really very good...another Amanat ali of this season. Opinions on India forum are definitely read and considered,so friends let us use this as a "voting"medium because many of us are living outside India and can't vote.

Counting of votes has always been an issue. There is no transparency.Who tabulates the votes?Who is auditing them?If there is an independent scrutiny agency why do they not announce its name?Unless they do this there will always be suspicion that votes are manipulated.

Even if the vote count is honest muliple voting tilts the balance in favour of those who have money to spend on SMS.

I think they are counted but again multiple votes defeat the purpose. I don't know why we keep think Asma is there because she gets the trps with her drama. if that is the case then the audiences are definitely interested in her and wants her to stay. Maybe all the middle easterns are voting for her! All the middle east countries are filled with Bollywood audience.

I am from USA and everyone I knew, even on groups like facebook everyone seemed to be a Amanat fanatic. It wasn't just oh I hope he wins, it was " HE BETTER WIN OR I AM GOING INTO A MINOR DEPRESSION" I was surprised when he didn't win. But he won international votes. Can be the same case with Asma.
Also I am sad Kaushik and Naina are gone as they are both wonderful singers. But this just proves maybe audience votes are being counted. They are so talented but they go unnoticed, because they don;t have the vivacious, lively personality!😭

That's a possibility. But then again maybe mumbai Maharashtran people don't feel the regional love! All the bengalis I ever come across only want to vote for bengalis, including my dad! All the punjabis I saw wanted to vote for Rohanpreet during lil champs. I think it's disadvantage when you are from somewhere like delhi or mumbai!

Sad isn't it? Even in modern times we tend to be a little biased. So naturally contestants who come from their own states stand a better chance than those who hail from elsewhere.

I can only thank God for making me think differently.
