Its Diwali

Deepa is crouching in a corner of her room , her hands over her ears. She cant stand the sound of the firecrackers.

Aastha who is very happy and smiling , enters her room with a tray of lighted diyas.She is shocked to see Deepa cowering in the corner.

Aastha goes to her and tries to remove her hands from her ears. When Deepa sees Aastha , she bursts out crying "Bhabhi!" and hugs her tight. When Deepa releases her , Aastha says gently " Kya hua Deepa?"
Yeh bhi koi poochne waali baat hai kya?]

Deepa cries and says " Mera sab kuch khatam ho gaya bhabhi..."

Aastha tries to console her and makes her sit down on the bed .

Aastha : Who says everything has finished ? Deepa , its never like that...your whole life is in front of you...

Deepa : There's no reason left for me to lIve bhabhi...

Aastha : No Deepa , you shudnt talk like that....I am sure , you WILL find a reason to live....we arent supposed to carry some hurt all thru' our lives...but we shud recover from that hurt and move on....arre , jiska naam hi Deepawali jaisi tyohaar ke saath jura hai , kya woh kabhi aise ho sakti hai ? Deepa , you carry light with you in your name....now come on , wipe away the tears.....you will be happy Deepa

Deepa is still not consoled

Aastha : Hmm....I know why you are doing this..... apni importance badhaane ke liye na? Mai jaanti hoon Deepawali tumhaari favourite tyohaar hai...ab chalo , Dhanteras hai , aur saare ghar ko diya se sajaana hai

They leave

Aastha's home

Purnendu lights a diya in front of Rukmini's portrait.

Purnendu : Rukmini , while fighting life.....my feet have started to shake.....Shilpa's misery...and even you have left me
[breaks down , while Shubh enters ... OMG!!!! He's shaved....woo hoo!!!! The puraana look is back!!!! HAPPY DIWALI!!!!!]

Purnendu continues : I feel as if my last breaths are coming..

Shubh puts a hand on his shoulder and consoles him , saying that he has come to take Shilpa away , cause he and Aastha want her to live with them

Purnendu tells Shubh we cant do that , because do you know , in doing so , how much trouble u'll cause in ur own family ?

Shubh says that I and Aastha cannot rest until we see Shilpa's smile back

Purnendu is worried about what the world will say

Shubh reassures him saying that nothing can be done about the world and its people , but we cant forget our responsibilites only for others.He promises Purnendu that Shilpa will be fine.

Purnendu nods and places his hand on Shubh's shoulder. [Oh yeah ? What abt an APOLOGY for whteva ya said to him earlier?????😡]

Shubh takes Shilpa home and there Vanraj , Sulo and Aastha are surprised to see her .

Shubh says that Shilpa needs Aaastha now , but A also has responsibilities towards this family , so I thought that its best to bring her here.

Vanraj says thats true - Our own family member has done this , so we shud make amends.

SA show Shilpa her bedroom where Shubh has placed a make-up kit , movie DVDs , etc etc.

Meanwhile Anu instigates Deepa against Aastha saying that all this is Aaastha's plan and A has brought Shilpa here so as to rub salt into deepa's wounds and if Shilpa remains here , then Deepa will not be able to forget her hurt.Anu tells Deepa to raise her voice.

SA and Shilpa are surprised to hear Deepa's shriek 'Leave me !' next.They rush out and Sulo too comes and they are surprised to see Deepa attempting to kill herself.

They snatch the knife from her and on Aastha's questioning "Pagal ho gayi ho kya tum? Aisa kya hua hai jo apna jaan lena chaahti ho ? " Deepa says " YOU are the reason!"

Deepa then says tells Shubh then bhabhi has been playing a game with me , on one hand she pretends to be my supporter and on the other hand she brings her sis to live in this house...when she knew very well that i would never be able to forget what has happened with Shilpa in the house.

Shubh then makes Deepa understand that Shilpa's present conditon is due to one of their own family , her own husband...he tels Deepa to put herself in her plave and then see , how Shilpa's pain was much more than Deepa's...

Deepa comes to her senses and apologises to Shubh and Shilpa , saying " I was carried away by my emotions and by somebody;s instigating ..."

Shubh and Sulo ask who instigated her.

Deepa hesitates and replies " Anushka bhabhi"

A VERY VERY angry Sulo slaps Anu TIGHT !!!!!!!!!
