Hey Guys,
As we all know Riddima has always refused to kiss Armaan whenever he has asked her to or tried to do it himself.. What are your thoughts on this attitude of her's?
Do you think she is being overly cautious, despite knowing that Armaan is truly, madly and deeply in love with her and she being passionately in love with him too?
Or would you have done the same if you were in her shoes?
Also, why do you think she is refusing? Is she simply waiting for marriage or is there another reason?
Will be waiting for your replies!

Hi...😳 very nice post👏

I dont think it is about trusting Armaan...I am sure she trusts him more than herself.... I think she has drawn this line in their relationship becoz she doesn't want to let her family down by moving forward... If she lets him kiss now, tomorrow he may ask for something more..not that Armaan is a bad guy,.. Its just that he doesnt understand the phases of the relationship... 😳 so..I think she feels it is better to keep that distance until they get married or at least until her parents accept their relationship😳

yeah..if I were in her place I would have kissed him long time back😆

They have seen the first day of DMG, always portrayed a very "desi" feel to the character of riddhima... I am not saying here that she is orthodox... We seen her jogging and playing basketball, dancing (even on raat ka nasha) etc... like a very modern girl... But I just feel somewhere down the line they've always try to contrast her with Anjali, to make her the more lovelier, salwar kameez one... She's the one after maybe Sapna, who's like any indian girl.... dreaming of perfection... therein lies her beauty... thus it was neccessary for them to show her shy when armaan tries to kiss her.. Also I feel that's one reason Armaan actually loves her... Girls have always run behind him... It was high time he found someone who actually refused him things! Someone unique... Someone named riddhima...
Cheers!

That's a very fair comment.. I agree with you that in a way, by portraying Riddhima as being so shy that she refuses to kiss her own boyfriend does make her the more lovelier one and relates to her desi salwaar kameez image.
However, if the creatives are using this technique to establish her character, isn't that putting kissing in a bad light? Aren't they implying that if a seedhi saadhi girl who always wears salwaar kameez kisses her boyfriend, she is not seedhi saadhi anymore? I think it's unfair because I don't think Riddhima kissing Armaan would assasinate her character. In fact, this whole "I'm too bholi bhaali to kiss you" image is what's assasinating her character. On one side she loves him passionately, talks to his picture, cries when he is away from him etc. And on the other hand she refrains from showing any physical affection apart from hugging/holding hands. In a way it looks as if she doesn't trust Armaan enough to kiss him...
And regarding the fact that girls have always run behind Armaan, Riddhima is not just an ordinary girl, she is his girlfriend. True, maybe in the beginning of their relationship it was necessary for her to play hard to get just to ensure that Armaan stays tied, but this is well into their relationship yaar..it is crystal clear that Armaan is crazy about her..so why this constant nakhra?

BRILLIANT ANSWER!!!! LOVE IT!!! JUS PERFECTTTTTTTTTT!!!! the othr reason is tht i mean the actors- Karan n Sukirti both r in a committed relationship n they arent gonna agree to do it so i guess thts one of the reason y its nt bein shown n DMG has always shown ROMANCE in the way of ROMANCE may it b cuddling or evn huggin... they've always kept it real... so i guess they want to kp up tht REPUTATION.. n they shuldn show it in the way tht u knw they r abt to kiss n the back is shown or smethn it'll b disgustin.... i hate it whn they do tht so i rather dnt have a kissin scene then have one like tht..!!

I do think it is time Riddhima trusted Arman a little more than she does. May be she should kiss him rather than he kiss her. There is a difference. Also, the DMG creatives could get over the problem of the actors not wanting to kiss on the screen by making the episode sweetly comic. There are many ways of doing this -- and Arman is very good at allowing himself to be the butt of comedy. In fact, it endears us to his character. Can you imagine his expressions if he were to receive the kiss and yet be rendered a little ridiculous too? Personally, their kissing would be fine with me. But one has to think of the limitaztions of Indian television!! Too bad!
