By now, it's well known that Aamir Khan is no longer a part of Vishal Bharadwaj's MR. MEHTA & MRS. SINGH. The latest is, even Kareena Kapoor has opted out of the project. "That's completely untrue. Kareena continues to be a part of MR. MEHTA & MRS. SINGH," Vishal breaks his silence on the topic and issues his first official statement, "Someone even mentioned that the project is shelved. Not true again."
The truth is… "I am definitely making the project," the music composer-director reveals, "But we've yet to finalize the principal lead." It's rumored that Saif Ali Khan will step in Aamir's shoes. "I cannot comment on it right now since everything is in the infancy stages. Let the modalities be completed, only then can we reveal the right name."
Vishal also denies that he has dropped Viveik Oberoi from his new assignment, an adaptation of OTHELLO. "I wish those indulging in speculation would at least clarify from the right sources. Ajay, Saif and Viveik are a part of the film, while Kareena Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma have also been confirmed for the film in question [it's not titled yet]," he sets the record straight.
