I think(I'm no Astrologer🤔) that it means diminishing the ill effects of the planets that has brought/might bring bad luck to the person whose birth chart shows some 'problems' due to the effext of planets and based on that person's birthtime according tio Indian astrology.
though they said there's no such pooja(Rajdeep's Masi said and Rajdeep's Mom agreed) which I also thiink because if there's any such Ritual it has to be done on an auspicious day with a proper priest..... general 'ladies' cannot do it.
A very famous actress in India is reportedly been married to a tree before she actaully married her boyfriend to reduce the ill-effects of the planets that her horoscope showed(I do not know if the news is 100% true but there's a saying.....there's some fire where there's smoke🤓)
