Welcome to the IF SRGMP Singing Contest
Round 8 - Mentor's Thread!!!

The theme for this round is -

Folk Songs !!!

Participants, who have made it through to Round 8 (all those who cleared Round 6 and the wildcard entrants who got selected), please get in touch with your respective mentors and start working on your Round 8 songs.

**Please make sure the folk song that you choose for this round is from Hindi films ONLY.**

All the mentors should collect the songs from their respective gharana contestants and post the entries here on the last day of Round 8 submission.

The ones who are eliminated, their songs will not be sent to the judges. And if for any reason the last date gets extended then the results will also be posted on that extended last date

As mentioned in the results thread, we'll have three eliminations in the next round.

1st Oct, until 12 Midnight, PT North America

Important Announcement:

Mentors are requested to please go through the themes thread once again... Due to excessive extension in the contest, the Ninth round has been removed and we will have 3 eliminations in the eighth round... So, please go through the thread to note down the changes accordingly..

Hi everyone,

Another msg for u all... due to some personal commitments i am finding it really diff to carry on the contest due to lack of time... But dnt want to leave it unfinished midway....so instead the co-ordination team has decided that this round will be considered as the semi finals. And after the 3 eliminations, as announced, we will hv our finals with the remaining 4 contestants. Really very sorry for the inconvinience....

Mentors are also being requested to plz again chk the mentor's topic to know the theme for the finals.😊

An Important Announcement:

As some of the contestants have not yet contacted their respective mentors for the song submission, the coordinating committee has decided to give an extension until 5th October 12 Midnight PT.. The contestants are requested to get in touch with the mentors asap..

There is also another request for mentors - If the songs of contestants are finalized please do post the songs in this thread.. This way if all the songs are posted, we can close the round and no need to wait till the deadline to get over..
