Dear rajnish, I agree with you. I was actually not going to reply to this post, because I thought giving this member the silent treatment would be good, but after I thought about it, I came to the conclusion that some advice would be better for this person.
To Saccy_mybaba,
To you, what you say may be the truth. After all, for every person, what they believe in is the truth, but that does not necessarily mean every person has to believe that. Always saying THIS IS THE TRUTH THIS IS THE TRUTH hurts people's feelings, because you are acting as if you received divine vision from God and know everything. You have to be open to the fact that what you think may not be the truth, and that there are people out there who know better than us. No one in the Forum believes they are smarter than everyone else. We accept kindly written opinions of others, but yours are not kindly written. They are offending and hurtful. If you want to discuss Ramayan, that is completely welcome, because that's what this Forum is for, but it is ill-mannered to write in Caps, because it sounds like you are shouting at us and ordering us. Remember, there are many elders participating in discussions in this forum, and treating them with respect is our Dharma. Writing in caps, using vulgar language, and taking a commanding tone is disrespect.
I think the main reason people were angry with you was your vulgar language (using the word sex too many times), CAPs, and commanding tone. If you hadn't used any of that, and instead approached the issue in a dignified and mature way, people would have accepted your opinon more. Also, don't expect everyone to agree with you, because in every discussion there is controversy, and people might have been willing to look into the issue more if you had written in a nice way.
We all are Bhagvan Ram's devotees, and we welcome discussions about the Ramayana (even if they are controversial) if they are written in a mannered way. But one thing you have to remember is, there are children and youngsters in this forum. Our culture doesn't allow such vulgar words to be expressed to children until they are at an age to understand them. So please, desist from using vulgar language and Caps.
Next time, approach in a nicer way, and you will be welcomed. Remember, Mahatma Gandhiji acted in a peaceful way towards the British Raj. If he had been acting like you, we would never have gotten independence.
Peace!
Jai Shri Dasharath-nandan Ram! Jai Sita-Pate!
