What is Music?
Well Scientifically it can be described as an art form in which the medium is sound organized in time.
But when it comes to describing or defining what it music we all have an opinion of our own.
Opinions differ.
One man's trash is another man's treasure.
One man's food is another man's poison.
So music also is not an exception here. some may feel Music to be a blessing others can feel the same as a disturbance or a curse
It depends on our attitude towards music that decides whether is it good or bad
Types of music
As we all know Music is present everywhere. Just like the Five Elements Music is also very much present in this universe..
From the striking of a stone, A waterfall, to a person singing and even when we talk we prone to follw the pitch according to our mood.
we have different kinds of music to suit our moods accordingly
its tough to list every type here but we would be very much familiar with rock,pop, jazz,folk etc
TAMIL MUSIC
Now Music in every language is precious and special to everyone. Now as this is a Tamil Forum I would be honored to give a post on Tamil Music
Tamil music is sometimes categorised into Devotional, Classical and Popular Folk music. Rhythms of popular folk music express a vitality which stems from the closeness of its contact with the life of a people. Classical music deepens and refines these associations with life and its moving ragas and melodies have withstood the passage of time and remain almost timeless.
The musical traditions that have developed amongst the Tamil people have also been influenced by the differing origins and languages of the peoples of the Indian sub continent. Carnatic classical music is related to speakers of the Dravidian group of languages...
The Gems of Kollywood
well this is a kollywood forum and so i am not going much into general tamil music.
Kollywood has gifted us with many Super Talented Music Directors..
From the olden times to the modern age we have many who remain evergreen in our memories
From TMS,Vishwanatha Ramamoorthy,Ilayaraja to the present ARR,Harris Jayaraj,YSR .. the list goes on.. all are equally wonderful in their works
I really love Tamil music a lot. so i felt being a Kollywood forum we definitely need to have a post for Music as there are many music which has become a hit just for its music. so we should really have a chat on kollywood music. thus we can know the outlook of each person towards a particular song. U can also recommend new songs so that those who have not heard it can have a try and let us know how they felt
