!! Maamu has his Own Career to Mind: Imran !!
Imran Khan's next movie release is just a fortnight away and he is really nervous. To think of it, Imran wasn't nervous like this for his debut movie.
"This time I'm less sure of myself because I don't know if I've been able to do a good enough job," he explains. Probably it is because of the negative character he is portraying, he says, "At the end of the day, if the audience don't like it, then there's no point me doing anything."
One wonders why Imran is worrying about his performance. His debut performance proved his caliber as an actor and he can only become better than that, not any worse. But Imran thinks otherwise, he says,
"All I can see are the flaws in Jaane Tu…, places where I messed up or didn't deliver a line properly. I can't enjoy the film at all. With Kidnap, I've done the best I could."
Is he getting too judgmental about himself? Afterall, he is a star kid; he would have ample opportunities to prove himself during the course of his career.
Imran wonders, "The number of star kids who've been trashed, outnumber the number of star kids who're successful. Some of the top people like Amitabh and Shah Rukh Khan are outsiders."
So does that mean, Imran is extremely cautious about the projects he takes and he takes Aamir Khan's advise whether to say yes or no to a film.
"He has his own career to mind, and Maamu's always believed that you have to make your own mistakes and learn from them and your successes should be your own. If all my successes are due to him, then I won't enjoy them," Imran clarifies.
Looks like he doesn't just have a cute face between the ears but a sound mind too… Another perfectionist in the making eh?
