After Manish Goel injured his right arm while rehearsing for Zara Nachke Dikha, he was laid-up when he was approached for playing a character in 'Ajeeb'. Manish speaks about his character in the show…
Q. You injured yourself badly during the rehearsals of Zara Nachke… how is your arm now?
A. Well, it's much better! It's just that I can't move my hand that freely.
Q. How did you decide to get back to television despite of your dislocated arm?
A. I was missing T.V a lot when I was approached for the role. The role sounded very interesting and I was recovering too, hence I didn't
want to miss the opportunity… so I grabbed it.
Q. Please tell us about your character in the show?
A. I am doing cameo in the show where I am playing the character of a drunkard. This man keeps going to the hospital to donate his blood and get some money. But the materan there, out of concern and her affection for this man, gives him the money without taking his blood. One fine day it happens so that the blood is taken and then they realize that there's actually some problem with it.
Q. How did you manage to shoot with your injured arm?
A. The character which I play focuses on my face, it didn't really have to do anything with my hand, and hence there wasn't any problem as such.
Q. How do you manage your schedule, who helps you with your routine?
A. I can move my hand but it's just that I can't move it above my shoulder, so I am able to manage.
Q. Are you still undergoing treatment?
A. I wasn't… it was yesterday only I realized after I got my M.R.I report. I've been asked to go for an orthoscopic surgery.
We wish you recover very soon Manish…
