I am a silent and occasional reader of this section and amongst many points you folks discuss, I have observed that many of you have a confusion regarding the name 'Duryodhan'....
Duryodhan is a sanskrit word, which means 'The one who cannot be fought against'...
Duryodhan= Dur+Yodhan = The one who cannot be schemed or fought against, the one who has no equal in fight/war...
Its a very positive word and a positive name...Suyodhan is just a nick given to him by his parents and not really used by anybody else...His name is Duryodhan.PERIOD...But because it is his name, its became unpopular and stopped being in usage....I mean who would want to name their kids after 'Duryodhan'...😆...
I read here that Suyodhan was his original name and changed along the way into Duryodhan because of his bad deeds😲....Gosh, friends do we realize that Duryodhan is a powerful person in Hastinapur and he wont take people calling him by a negative name on his face lightly???and who exactly has any rights there...😆...It was Duryodhan's raaj all through...wasn't it...😉
BTW before we start getting doubts about 'Dushasan's' name as well, here is its meaning...
Dushasan= Dur+shasan = The one who cannot be commanded....
Hope that helps!

PS: BTW, I did not like this MB at all initially but slowly getting warmed up to it.....Lemme see if I will really like it...So far am still skeptical about it and feel weird about certain twists and still not getting used to the costumes...and oh yeah the main thing, I don't watch it, I just read the updates and look at the pictures posted here once in a while...Can't handle the deafening supersonic b/g scores...😕
