Shweta Tiwari in Punjabi movie
Shweta Tiwari is doing a Punjabi film and has just returned from London after shooting.
She's acting with Manav Vij in the film, called Apni Boli Apna Des, a source from the unit said. "Shweta was shooting in UK for ten days," the source said, "apart from Shweta and Manav, it also stars Raj Babbar and Sudesh Beri."
The film tells the story of a girl from Punjab who comes to Birmingham and meet Manav's character. It shows how their life changes after that meeting."Shweta is not used to Punjabi, but she grasps things very quickly," the source said, "her co-actors initially used to helped her with her lines but she picked it up soon. She was very spontaneous."
The source said that Manav and Shweta had become good chums on the sets and Shweta, who keeps a Ganpati home every year for a day and a half invited Manav for its visarjan. The film also stars the famous Punjabi singer Sarabjeet Singh Cheema and is directed by Ravinder Pipak.
Shweta has done movies in Bhojpuri, including one with her estranged husband Raja Chaudhary. The two separated last year.This is 38-year-old Shweta's first movie in Punjabi.
On the other hand Manav popularly known as Joydeep of Kyunki has done a few movies in Punjabi and also in Hindi. But this is the first time both of them will share screen space.
