SP makers' short memory another blooper

what you said about the blooper part is correct, but coming to the main issue, such things are still very much rooted in our country....the fact that they dont get much of a footage and are lost amidst other so called issues is a different thing..

but in reality, our country isnt really shaping as a 21st century country...even today people get harrassed on the basis of caste...though the govt doesnt even think twice before reserving seats for them, but they often ignore these issues....there is a hue and cry over reserving seats for them, but nobody pays attention to how they are treated in the core parts of the country....

even today jaganath temple in puri, orissa does not allow people from different religion or lower caste to enter the temple....even our ex pm indira gandhi was not allowed coz she had married a muslim/ or somebody from a different religion....so forget about the common man.....not only that temple once wasted huge quantity of food, as they found a non hindu had entered the temple premises.......

in small villages people still harass the people labeled as lower caste on issue like using a common well or entering a temple......dalit women are burnt alive on a petty issue, a dalit man is beaten and humiliated coz of a small reason....

sad part is no matter how modern the country claims to be, its still very backward when in such important areas....newspaper daily cover the entire nation , but amidst all the so called political bashing etc, such issue are reduced to small paragraphs which is often ignored by all......

the truth is that this might be an age old issue, but it never really got a solution and is still deeply rooted in our country...

That is truly sad then. Al the religious places I visit I have never seen things like this. It may be possible in small towns and stuff. But then my huby is from small town and the way he describes his child hood it does not seem like it was happening there.

what do you expect out of creatives.....they often forget what they have shown before.....they are masters of bloopers.......

I still think it is possible. But the place Nahar saloni is living does not seem like a small town.

well the bottom line is one time priest performs pooja and 2nd time poor lady is kicked out is not strange.

Is your husband from higher caste and one of rich families of the small town??? Ask him how many backward class friends did he have? Did he ever go to any backward class colony or attended any of their functions?

I grew up in Delhi. We never allowed "Jamadaars" inside our house. I never saw those people in our local temple. I think it's a understood fact. Now these Dalits have their own temples and priest and do not want to create scene shown in Saat Phere.

Truth is, Caste system is very much prevalent in India. By closing your eyes to issues, issues do not disappear.

In Haryana, a few years ago, there was a huge issue, when a girl married a boy from a low caste. The whole village was ready to excute them. It got a lot of coverage not sure what happened next.

No my huby is not from rich family and yes he practicaly lived in harijan vaas in his town. I am from big city and I never saw these things. Also in our house we had all kind of ppl came as my dad and grand ma were a socail workers.

So, yes, it is very much there may not be as prominent in metros but we cannot say it does not happen.
