Harshad Chopra

Sid Makkad aka Shankar of Mere Apne will play Arjun in Ekta Kapoor's Kahaani Hammaray Mahabharat Ki.

He replaces Harshad Chopra aka Prem of Kis Des Mein Hai Mera Dil, who shot for the serial barely for 10 days.

Our source said, 'Harshad was ousted from the serial because he was unable to devote long hours to Arjun's character.

Moreover, he did not have a great physique which is very vital for Arjun's role.'

However, when contacted, Sid was not very forthcoming on his inclusion in Mahabharat. He said, 'Balaji and I are still talking.

' But Suraj Rao of Balaji Telefilms confirmed the story and said, 'We auditioned Sid in Arjun's

Sid Makkad

get-up and thought that he fit the bill. We have now finalised him for Arjun's character.'

On Harshad's exclusion, Suraj said, 'Harshad's track in Kis Des Mein Hai Mera Dil increased and hence we decided to replace him.'

I don't think he was "kicked out" as the author of the articles is saying...he probably choose Kis desh over Mahaabaraat...i mean, an actor has the choice to choose wat showz they want 2 do or not...plus the media has a habit of making a big mess out of a small thing! I should kno, i've taken some journalism classes & one thing we learned was we need 2 make the story interesting by using specific words or phrases...but then i realized i hated these media ppl & was more interested in medicine....I'd be doctor any day than be one of those spineless journalists! Uhh...i also think this was decided a long time ago about Harshad opting out of Mahabaarat b/c he got a hair cut 2 weeks ago I think!! No one has complained about his hair in a really long time...so i think it was his choice! GOOD for him!!! This also means, tht the story line of Kis Desh doesn't involve Prem dying or him leaving the show as it was earlier!!! I'm very happy!😃

Ugh...stupid language..typical Mumbai Mirror style. But yay...I am selfishly pleased that we won't see less of Prem ..Sowwi.

it means prem is not gonna die....yipeeeee
my worst fears are over....i am sure after seeing prem's popularity they (kdmhmd creatives)must have decided to let prem live ...instead of the original story where he dies....and as far as i remember harshad said that he wants to concentrate on only one show at a time....and he CHOSE kdmhmd.
but i don't like this word being used "kicked out" may be he himself wanted out....comapare the trps of mahabharat and kdmhmd...we all know which is better
