As per your logic, according to Ekta if TRPs of MB were better due to RR at some point, then, now the down fall of it is due to him as well! Why, is he the only person that represents this show? Is he distorting the stories? Is he distorting facts? Is he responsible for costumes, direction, acting.....blah..blah...blah? In fact, is he the only person who is running this show!!!!!!!!! The sole person present in this whole Ekta MB fiasco? I didn't know this! If indeed it is, then he surely is to blame for MB's failure.

Oh well, I have a very wacky sence of humour as well. So, if RR does lose his job, so what! He will get another............NO WORRIES AT ALL WHATSOEVER. I have total faith in him, he will be absolutely fine. A query though: You think about RR so much (positively or negatively) that you had to create a whole topic about this in a totally unrelated section! Amazing yaar......lage raho...Also, you went as far as discussing him with some very RELIABLE SOURCE! Sheeshhhhhhhhhh.................even more amazing 👏.

If the articles are anything to go by, then they are pretty much pointing out that the show is NOT going off air 😆

Just out of curiousity... is this reliable uncle ji at Balaji Telefilms the same one who give the reliable info that the Balaji Telefilms show Kasamh Se was going to be pulled off air by the end of July 08 because of bad TRPs (the TRPs which turned out to be not so bad 😕 ), and that actress Prachi Desai was going to return to the show next year (lately, Prachi confirmed that she is NOT returning to television for another year 😳 )... is it the same reliable uncle ji? 😕

So far, uncle ji has got 0/2 (in rather spectacular fashion)... with this one, it seems that he's got a hattrick.

No one takes anything I say seriously anyway, and so I don't need to ask anyone not to 😆 I hope one day even I develop a sense of humour 😊

No, unfortunately, KS is not in top 5 - that happened for the first 6 months of the show, then Sandeep Sikand left, Bobby Bhonsle and a series of incompetent writers took over and the serial went down hill....To be quite honest, I don't know whether Ronit left on his own or not...all I know is that there was furor and a huge campaign started for him to leave. But you know how the grapevine starts. But I know there are some hardcore RR fans who hear these things right from the horse's mouth...

And I can't make head or tails of the rest of replies, so I will refrain from answering.

Also, earlier when epics like Mahabharat and Ramayan were made into TV shows, the actors and actresses selected were pretty new faces and people didn't have preconceived notion about their acting and did not relate them to the characters they might have played in previous shows. It is a common practice to associate an actor or actress with the role he/she plays. For example, at the time Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan was shown on TV, people used to worship him and his image, thinking that he is Ram, that is how innocent Indian viewers are. After the show was over, people were not able to accept Arun Govil in any other character, I specifically remember one show where he played a negative character (i think he had extra-marital relationship with a woman in that show) and people hated that. If the same guy was to do Ramayan again, I am sure he wouldn't have been accepted as Ram the way he was earlier. What i am trying to convey here is that let's not blame it on one or the other actor for demise of Ekta's Mahabharat--it is a combination of socially unacceptable concept and excessive exposure of actors and actresses in modern or untraditional roles.

The conversation seems to be in code so I can't really participate, but one thing I found funny was that people actually believe what Ekta says. Case in point, she said Smriti was not coming back, a week later she made a huge announcement that Smriti is back, same she said she was not doing MB in reputed papers like Hindustan Time etc, and within a week or so of that she announced MB and same with KZK not going off air. She said MB has a TRP of 1.2 and that's what all mythologicals are getting. Ramayan always gets over 1.5 and mostly it's about 2, and same with the show on Lord Krishna on Colors. Last week MB numbers were below 1.
