| Ayub Khan as Vishesh in the serial | After the end of Ravi Rai's Kasshish, Ayub Khan has joined the team of Shrishti Behl Arya's India Calling (Star One).
As Vishesh Khanna, Ayub will play the role of Chandni's (Nigaar Z Khan) husband. He is Aditya's (Vipul Gupta) older brother, and also the owner of the call centre. Positive character
Commenting on Ayub's role, Shrishti says, "Ayub is a terrific actor and fits in perfectly with the role I have. Vishesh is a businessman, who has a pleasant personality and a positive outlook towards life. He's a dynamic character who will sparkle like a ray of sunshine whenever he comes on screen. I think it's the first time we have such a personality on a show, who is forward thinking, yet enigmatic."
When asked what drew him toward India Calling, Ayub says, "I liked the intensity of Vishesh. Other than that, working with Shrishti and the prospect of having a show on Star One was alluring as well." | Ayub Khan and Nigaar Z Khan in India Calling | Get Shorty!
The actor says this is the first time he will be working with Nigaar Z Khan, "She plays my wife, and I haven't worked with her before. In fact, I keep calling her Six Feet Two Khan, since she's so tall! I have just started shooting for the serial, and my character will evolve as the show progresses."
He adds that there are some similarities between India Calling and Kasshish. "Both shows have very good stories and strongly etched out characters." Apart from India Calling, Ayub will also be seen on the big screen in Prakash Jha's Apaharan, releasing this week.
"I am looking forward to the audience's reaction to my role as Kaashi Pandit. It was great working with Ajay and the rest of the cast." |
