Vishal Bhardwaj is a much relieved man today. He has finally managed to shoot with Shahid Kapur at Goregaon railway station, for his next, Kaminay.
Vishal wanted to shoot there for four days. Unfortunately, he got permission to shoot for a day only. The scene which involved Shahid to travel by a local train, was shot yesterday (see pics).
He could manage mainly because he found a Shahid lookalike for some shots. Says our source, "Vishal had no option but to get a lookalike for Shahid at the last minute. The crowd learnt that Shahid was shooting at the station and began gathering there. Vishal was at his wits' end.
He had to complete the shooting at Goregaon railway station in one day. Getting permission to shoot from the Railways is very difficult nowadays. So Vishal had to make do with cheat shots, using the lookalike."
A friend of Shahid adds, "Vishal works this way. He even had a body double for Ajay Devgan in Omkara. So, if he is having one for Shahid now in Kaminay, it's not a new thing for him. Vishal often uses body doubles to set up the frames, before he finally calls the actor to face the camera. This way, the actor is saved from taxing himself when the frames are being readied."
Shahid will be seen in a very different role in Kaminay. The actor will be playing a gambler who cons people. He has changed his look in the film too. He sports long hair and a goatee. He is paired opposite Priyanka Chopra.
