Help Plz! How did Prateek died?

Can someone tell me how did Prateek (Kaveri's husband) died.

I missed that part.😊

I'm not very sure as i didn't see pkg during that time but from what i heard from the updates is that Kaveri killed him. By that i mean she gave him the mercy killing as that's what pratik wanted. The doc(Anurag) said that pratik could never be cured, so Kaveri gave pratik what he wanted. Babu ji knew about that too. Iravati found out later that Kaveri killed pratik and there was this whole drama about her kicking kaveri out of the house and than fighting in court for the custody of her son. But everything is all dandy now as Avi and Rimjhim convinced Iravati to take Kaveri back.
