Kalika's theory of Revenge – Sins of the father (known concept)

The act of exacting revenge upon the descendants of the actual wrongdoer, who is either already dead or cannot be reached at the moment.

Many innocent people have suffered because of the mistakes that their parents have made, whether it is in SP or in reality. But is this right? Some people would argue that someone has to pay for these mistakes; if the parent doesn't suffer, the children should. Regardless of whether it is fair or not, this theory of punishing the heirs for the sins of the father has become a tradition that has been passed on from ancient time and is still practiced to this day. Does a financial debt end with the death of a loved one? How do we as human beings react to a criminal's children?

According to Kalika if Narpat does not suffer for his crimes to her and Shyma then his children and grand-children will suffer. But what is the payment amount – how much.is the payment amount? How do you equate suffering? Is she not doing to others (innocent) what was done to her?

1st Kalika was made to pay for Narpat sins – she is an illegitimate child. Society has punished her for Narpat and Shyma's 'supposed' sin.

Kalika wants retribution for her and her mother's pain. Thirty years of suffering how much is that worth………

The concept is ancient ......undoubtedly . We come across it in many holy books too . Generations pay for sins of their forefathers .
But even there , it is not condoned . Infact , it is criticized very sharply in the scriptures even . Making innocents pay for the actual karma of sumone else is simply not right .........even morally . In an ancient holy book ....the Guru Charitra [ a detailed life sketch of God as the eternal teacher in Hinduism ]......this concept of sins of the father has been discussed with great detail . There is a story of a brahmin who committed sucide as a woman defrauded him of some sum of money he had given to her with trust for safekeeping ......and thereby he suffred even in that life and also after death as sucide is a sin and one who commits sucide isnt set free but turns in a spirit . Such was the rage of the brahmins spirit that he haunted the woman even after she was reborn and she miscarried each time she was pregnant .
When finally the woman caught Gods feet to save her , the spirit has asked this question....
If you are really a fair god.....tell me if what she did was correct . This horrid spirit that i turned into is also coz she drove me to sucide . I know that ur fair and u cannot punish me .
And Shri Guru has replied .....True , but u ate her children . They had done nothing . She will do the rituals with her own expense amounting to the money she owed u and thus will set u free with her prayers but i order u to leave the children alone . If u dont , I will punish u myself .
And the spirit bowed and left .....recognising the fairness of God's justice .
This story , judy , touches me each time i read that holy book . What is just or unjust isnt really for us to decide ......only God or that super power or our Karmic law decides that [ if one is an atheist ] .
Speaking of this serial ......Kalika's revenge is so mindless , so senseless , that it doesnt even have the justification that the spirit in this story had . If she wanted to destroy Narpat .....he was already destroyed by the time of her marraige . His family had thrown him out and accepted her instead after a little initial struggle .
If the argument for her so called pain during childhood is given .....people like Ginni the prostitute have had far worser lives where perhaps they have endured even child rape in such a profession yet they dont hold innocents res[ponsible for their fate .
And i can even understand her insanity in wanting to destroy or create chaos in Narpats family . But she tried to destroy the Singhs too .....they r not remotely connected with her tragedy .Brijesh Nahar tara < kakasa r not at all connected by blood to Narpat .
And lastly the innocent children . Drugging a unborn baby...endangering Advitya , giving up a premature baby to a couple where the baby may die of malnutrition......is heinous .
Nothing Nothing can justify it .
and the most horrible part is she will repent when Shyama tells her that Narpat is not the father . That shud not be the cause for her repentance . Even if Gaj is the father .....going after Kunjan or Padma isnt the answer to her revenge . They too r innocents .
So u see her repentance will be the most horrible part of all.......as mindless as her revenge .

Thank you very much for your informative response.

Therein lies the dilemma of revenge she has now affected a number of innoncent lives. If we go with the concept of accountability and consequence of action she cannot blame her action on Narpat (he is not responsible for her action). The same way she holds Narpat accountable for his actions. She is now accountable for her action.
You are also right the SP creators had deliberately given her acceptance before her revenge started. As well as Narpat was punished - public humilation and loss of his family... Also she is an educated person in the field of law. She is very familar with right and wrong. This further made her revenge baseless and her totally heartless and merciless.
Every heartless act she has conceived by herself - the switching of the baby, false pregnancy, the issues with Tara, Kaveri etc. KJT had nothing to do with that
Her punishment should suit the crime as the SP creators has started on this route. But I believe you are right in how it will end up .......

In my opinion kalika has lost her mind . Just to punish saloni how many lives she has affected. She has made Tara, Bhabho, Nahar, Brijesh and most of all innocent baby.

She should be thankful that ambi and samar are taking care of her sick mom while she is doing her dirty work.
Ambi is not suppose to take care of shyama. it is Narpat 's duty.Samar is considering shyama mother. Look what kali is doing to Ambi.
Kali is sick with revenge. she knows no bounds and feel nothing is enough to punish saloni or her close relatives.
Kali truly needs to go to shrink as she is crazy and dangerous worst than a cold blooded murderer.
