Aloo Chaat" is a film about the Gulati's: supposedly "broadminded" survivors of the India-Pakistan partition. When their son Nikhil returns to Delhi from the US they promptly try to find a bride for him. They are highly distressed when Nikhil rejects them all. Little do they know that Nikhil has already found a beautiful girl for himself in the US- Uzma, who however happens to be a Muslim. Everybody knows the "broadminded" Gulati's will accept anyone but a Muslim! So Nikhil long with his friend cum philosopher Tarachand decide to unfold a plan by which Uzma would be happily accepted in the family. The drama unfolds in a series of comic events between crispy, mouth and eye watering bites of the Dilli ki mashhoor Desi ghee ki Aloo Chaat...
