Ramadan Countdown

A new night
beginning of the sacred month
the thin slice of the crescent
visible only a few minutes
to the naked eye

Was there ever a Ramadan that past, but you still remember it clearly? The most memorable Ramadan of your life so far? Do you remember what you did in that Ramadan? (People, I want answers ok!)

As the blessed month approaches, and we count the days down on the calendar, everyone hastens in preparation, freezing as many samoosas and kababs possible and making sure there is enough food to last the entire month Hehe… and mistake Ramadan to be the month of EATING when it's the month of FEEDING the poor (not dinner parties). Ok mind the food, my mouth is already watering, once again Ramadan graces us with its blessed presence, and thankfully we're still alive, we have another Ramadan to take full advantage of and pump up our Eman as in get lots of EmanRushes! Let's makethis Ramadan the most rocking one of our lives yet. So the question is… what are we going to do this month? What are our goals? C'mon everyone, let's make some noise!!! Everyone list five of your Ramadan goals and a little paragraph on how you're going to achieve them!! Please don't be shy, I'd love to know (and possibly help you reach them).

So everyone, jump in and share your goals! What are we going to do in Ramadan?

Ramadan Checklist:

Towards An Outstanding Ramadan:

Goals

Well, here are some goals that might inspire some of us!

1. Memorize lots of Quran 2. Finish reciting the entire Quran as well 3. STOP BACKBITING. Everytime you start talking about someone else, think about the Bridge of Siraat. Because once I reach the end of it, all of ya'll are gonna come beggin me for my good deeds and sadly I'll have to surrender because of the two words I said behind your back: She fat! lol 4. Pray ALL five prayers. 5. And shove Qiyam-ul-Layl (tahajjud) in the middle. 6. Prepare a massive Dua'a list
7. Do lots of Zikr
8. Cut down on the techies: Internet, TV, and phone.
Here's an awesome guide on how to finish the entire quran in a month
Thnks 2 Sunita for the permission.

Awesome topic Zainab Ji! 👏 Firstly, I love the month of Ramadan! Everyone is soo sweet during the whole month and patient.. and the best thing my school gets over early! :P But on a serious note, it may sound fake, but I seriously get to feel how the poor people might feel when they have nothing to eat, and I'm glad we have such a month in which we can, like u said, pump up our Eman and do good deeds and get to realize the hardships of the poor so that we can help them..
I remember several of my Ramadan that past.. but I guess I dont have 'the most memorable Ramadan' coz I'm such a bad bad girl.. I dont really act like a good Muslim even in Ramadan! But I guess last year, I actually tried to be a goody goody..and did offer my Namaz regularly and recited Quran! But I hope to make this Ramadan the most memorable ever! So that the next year when u open up a same thread like this, I post lonng, detailed answers of what I did last Ramadan!
As for the goals of Ramadan, yes I do have some goals that I'd like to list here:

1. Offer Namaz regularly and on earliest time possible
2. Stop listening to songs, atleast during the time I'm fasting!
3. Stop backbiting
4. Recite Quran daily
5. Do Ibadat in the night specially on the odd night of the last Ashura!

Ur checklist is surely gonna help me.. and i'm gonna put reminders on my cell phone on the time of each Namaz and when to read Quran. I'm gonna stop listening to songs, during the time I'm fasting coz its impossible for me to not to listen to songs during the whole month of Ramadan! :P For backbiting, I have to start practising from now own and I loved the example u gave! lol and i'm gonna tell my mom to not to let me sleep early during the odd nights of the last Ashura, and gonna try my level best to offer as much 'Nawafil' namaz as I can!

I loved the Ramadan checklist and I'm surely gonna use it, so thanks a ton for that Zainab! :D And i'm going to watch the Ramadan video u gave..
Good topic once again! Thanks to the mods for permitting this topic! And a Happy Ramadan to u all!

Sorry for all the blabbering, but I jst loved the topic! :P

Don't worry lol, you won't collapse! Just make sure you eat suhur!
And your goals, you might want to make them specific, like, how much Quran you want to read.. in a day. And perhaps instead of listening to Music you can listen to nasheeds... suggestions suggestions 😃
