Bollywood Ka Ticket-10th August Written U

The show begins with drummers entering the stage and the song "Singh is King" is played. Amrita Singh makes her entry and dances. Shortly after, a screen is put up showing a woman's silhouette. It is none other than Zeenat Aman who dances to "Khaike Paan Banaraswala" from Don. Shabana Azmi enters next dancing to "Dola Re" from Devdas followed by Mahesh Manjrekar who dances to "Dil Mein Baji Guitar." After their performances, the four mentors say a few words each about their respective regions.

Amrita Singh: We are from the North, which is on the most top of India. This is why we are called the Northern Eagles.

Shabana Azmi: Us Easterners are India's brain and intelligence. We are also India's strength which is why we are called the Eastern Tigers.

Zeenat Aman: We, Central Zone people, are the heart of India. We are Hindustan's "dilwale."

Mahesh Manjrekar: Everyone is one side and we are on the other. We will chew everyone up like chewing gum, that is why we are the Western Sharks.

The mentors then discuss that they should not talk about the separate regions and zones of India as the "divide and rule" policy was employed by the British. They then agree to join hands.

Salil Acharya comes on stage and speaks of Indian Independence Day. He wishes peace and serenity to the whole world but wonders if there can ever be any peace on the show. 😆 Salil goes on to introduce Suvarna Jha, his new co-host. Suvarna and Salil introduce the remaining jodis on the show. They conclude that each zone has two contestants left. However, Suvarna points out that Twinkle and Puneet walked out and were not eliminated.

A video clip of Puneet and Twinkle's walkout from the show is shown. In the video, Puneet states that the other contestants are not capable of voting out his jodi. Twinkle continues by telling Mihika that she is a senior artist to her and Mihika should behave respectfully towards Twinkle. Twinkle continues by calling Karan "rustic". The video ends with Twinkle saying the best jodi has left, now the winner will be chosen out of mediocre contestants. Karan comments that when "the elephant leaves, the dog begins to bark" (or something to that effect). Sahil says that Twinkle may be senior as an artist but her actions are not those of a senior. Vikas says the atmosphere of the show should be kept peaceful. A second video clip is shown where Chetan calls Twinkle "arrogant and insecure." Twinkle says that Chetan and Karan need to show respect because they acted violently and swore whereas she and Puneet did not use such vulgar language. Twinkle also says Chetan is too old and his age does not permit him to behave this way.

The clip then switches to the "aam janta" or public who is outraged by Puneet and Twinkle's departure from the show. Many people are arguing to bring back Puneet and Twinkle in the show. Puneet's family members are shown who are appealing that him and Twinkle should be brought back. When the video ends, Salil asks Zeenat how she feels when her central cheetahs are fighting amongst themselves. Zeenat reasons that Twinkle and Puneet left the show because of the format not because of personal differences between the contestants. Zeenat says she wants Twinkle and Puneet back emotionally as a mentor. Shabana, Amrita and Mahesh disagree. Amrita, in particular, says she does not want Twinkle back and calls her a "brat." Mahesh jokes that if Twinkle and Puneet are allowed to come back, then every contestant will start to do this nonsense. He says Apoorva will have to make his film in "buddhapa" or old age. 👏

The TATA Indicom phone call from a viewer occurs. Rahul from Nagpur calls and asks Shabana, why she influenced Naman during last week's elimination. Shabana had said to think carefully about who to eliminate. Shabana says that her position as a judge allows her to influence the contestants and she is proud that she influenced Naman if that meant he made a carefully, informed decision. The caller thanks her and the phone call ends.

Finally, the show moves on the performances.


RESHMI - SAYANTAN (Western Sharks)

Video: Reshmi and Sayantan go to meet Reshmi's fiance. Reshmi introduces her fiance to Sayantan. Sayantan greets Reshmi's friends with a "namaste." Her fiance remarks that he is a pure Hindustani. Reshmi's fiance says he is an American and is only investing in India because of her, otherwise he does not want to deal with "poor" people. Sayantan defends India and calls it his mother. He says that India created the number 0 and this is how the world began to count. Reshmi is impressed.

Performance: 'Pappu Can't Dance' from Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na.

Comments and Scores:
Amrita- I want you both to concentrate a little more on your dialogue delivery and on your scenes. The scene was lacking energy but the dance was fantastic. She gives them a 7.

Mahesh: I am quite satisfied but needs more energy. He gives them a 7.

Zeenat: You managed to do a good job although, it is difficult to dance to a popular song from a popular movie. She gives them an 8.

TOTAL: 22

Sayantan questions the judges' scores and says he is dissatisfied. He says that his jodi receives great comments but the marks never tally. Amrita says you should accept the judges scores because they don't want to say anything to hurt their feelings so they are a little bit diplomatic. Sayantan says he doesn't know how to improve himself if they don't give him honest comments. Amrita defends herself and says she has told him several times to work on his language, body language etc. and she frankly feels he doesn't have the body language to make it in Bollywood. A video is shown of Sayantan's background. He is shown to be quite poor and his mother believes him to be a doctor. He says he can't make that dream of hers come true but he will try his hardest to make it in Bollywood. Everyone becomes very emotional after the video is shown. Reshmi and Sayantan are declared safe.


VIKAS - DEEPIKA (Northern Eagles)

Video: The scene is in a hospital where Deepika works as a doctor. She consoles a child while Vikas talks to another child but tries to catch Deepika's attention. Deepika smiles.

Performance: 'Gore Gore' from Main Hoon Na.

Comments and Scores:
Zeenat- I loved your performance on stage but I found your scene very bland. She gives them an 8 for their performance.

Shabana- I liked your performance. In the scene, Deepika has improved a lot. Vikas, you need to work on your dialogue delivery and make your performance more realistic. She gives them an 8.

Mahesh- You danced brilliantly. I didn't like the performance. He gives them a 7.

Suvarna says if Bindu was in a film during the 70s, the film would be a hit. She wonders if the jodi that Bindu is in is also fit.


NAMAN - BINDU (Eastern Tigers)

Video: Naman is having difficulty with the actress during shooting. Bindu tries to talk to Naman but Naman ignores her. She finally tells him that the actress is wearing sandals in front of Mata Rani therefore, the shot can not be successful. Naman goes to the actress to tell her when the power goes out. Bindu lights a match and Naman says "mil gayi" referring to the actress he is looking for. Bindu says "huh?" and Naman jokes and says where did you get a lighter, do you smoke?

Performance: 'Dhoom Tana' from Om Shanti Om.

Comments and Scores:
Zeenat- Bindu, you looked very nice on screen. You were more polished than last time. All in all, a good performance. She gives them an 8.

Mahesh- Naman has the X factor. I would also like to point this out to Reshmi and Sayantan, Naman and Bindu chose the right song and did their movements with finesse. He gives them a 9.

Amrita- I am so impressed with Bindu. Sorry Naman, I was only watching Bindu. At the beginning of the show, I didn't think you were that great but you are wonderful now. I only want you to be more constant with your expressions like Naman. She gives them an 8.

Suvarna says the show tries to get everyone to participate with their parents' permission. However, this is not the case for Bindu. They show a video of Bindu where she says her family does not support her decision to enter show business. She gets very emotional and wishes her mother gave her "ashirwaad." Naman and Bindu are declared safe.


KRITIKA - MAYANK (Central Cheetahs)

Video: Kritika sees Mayank on the beach and asks him why he doesn't stop following her. Mayank says he is not pursuing her but here with his friends. Kritika looks around and asks him where his friends are. Mayank brings out his dog and introduces him to Kritika as SRK. 😛 Kritika becomes a bit sad and says whenever she tries to sort out her life, things become worst. Mayank tells her to think of life as sand and the tighter you try to grasp it, the easier it slips out of your hands.

Performance: 'Saara Jahaan' from Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena.

Comments and Scores:
Shabana- Last time, I said there is a thin line between confidence and over-confidence. Today, I felt you were confident and not over-confident. She gives them an 8.

Mahesh- Mayank, I know you a play an 'angry, young man' but also try to show some emotion when you need to. Good performance. He gives them a 7.

Amrita- I did not like your performance on screen at all. I was disappointed. Both of you didn't hook me in the video. She gives them a 7.

Salil asks Mayank whether he will agree to Puneet and Twinkle returning on the show. Mayank says friendship should be on one side and professionalism on the other. I feel that if someone behaved unprofessionally, then they should not be here. Kritika also says that once someone has left they should not come back. Naman and Karan also voice their opinions saying it would be unfair to bring back a jodi who already left the show.


CHETAN - SAYONGITA (Central Cheetahs)

Video: Sayongita nervously brings Chetan home to meet her father. After Sayongita leaves, her father asks Chetan how much money he wants to leave his daughter. Chetan says you understood me well and asks for 1 lakh per day. Chetan also says he wants to work for Sayongita's father. Sayongita's father gives him a gun.

Performance: 'Khallas' from Company.

Comments and Scores:
Amrita- Sayongita, you have to make an effort not to distort your face. You need to do better than this, you've done this already. She gives them an 8.

Mahesh- Amusing performance. I liked it. He gives them a 7.

Shabana- I don't agree that you did the same thing. I thought this was different from the last time when you did a romantic song. I liked your performance Chetan. She gives them a 10.

TOTAL SCORE: 25

Salil asks Chetan whether his fans will be happy with his performance. Chetan says he hopes so. Salil continues to say that everyone will be happy but Twinkle and Puneet unhappy. Chetan asks who? Salil repeats Puneet and Twinkle. Chetan once again says who? This goes on for a good few minutes. 😆 Salil goes to a break.


KARAN - ARCHANA (Western Sharks)

Video: Karan and Archana are at a restaraunt. Archana compliments Karan for wearing a nice watch. Karan takes off his watch and gives it to the waiter. Archana asks why did you do that? Karan replies that he doesn't need to keep track of time when he is with her.

Performance: 'Laga Laga Re' from Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya.

Comments and Scores:
Amrita- I would like to see you do more concentrated work and have more expression, Archana. Don't react before you understand what is going on. Karan is much better than you. She gives them a 7.

Shabana- I liked your silent moments and you had subtle changes in your face, Archana. You could work more on your voice modulation. Karan, you were better last time. She gives them an 8.

Zeenat- Karan, you are one of the best males in this competition. Archana, you are good but Karan is better. She gives them an 8.

TOTAL SCORE: 23

Karan and Archana are declared unsafe.


MIHIKA - SAHIL (Northern Eagles)

Video: Mihika, Sahil and other business associates are having a meeting. A business associate tells them that they can have a profitable business deal concerning poor Indian artists. Sahil says the deal is not profitable because you are stealing from the poor. He says he will not let the people of his country suffer. The business associate says that they will ask Mihika. She says can't you see I'm Indian too. We should encourage the poor in our country not steal from them.

Performance: 'Suno Gor Se' from Dus (the old one).

Comments and Scores:
Shabana- You chose a good song for this occasion. You both were good but Sahil, you were outstanding. She gives them an 8.

Mahesh- You were fantastic. She gives them an 8.

Zeenat- The dance was nice and the scene was okay. She gives them a 7.

JAY - RITUKA (Western Sharks)

Video: Jay and Rituka are in a restaraunt. Jay is telling Rituka that he is great at stunts. Rituka tells him to show her his stunts and he does. Rituka is not impressed and shows him a stunt of her own. She warns him not to lie to her.

Performance: 'Dus Bahaane' from Dus (new).

Comments and Scores:
Amrita- You are over-using your smile Jay. Rituka, you have improved a lot but your face is slightly distorted. She gives them a 7.

Zeenat- You were both charming in the scene. Jay, you danced brilliantly. She gives them a 9.

Shabana- Jay, you were utterly charming. She gives them a 9.

*The Lux Khoobsurat Performer of the Day is Bindu.*

Salil and Suvarna announce that the bottom four jodis are: Karan and Archana, Chetan and Sayongita, Mihika and Sahil and Vikas and Deepika. They also state that Twinkle and Puneet received a lot of votes and are not in the bottom four. The bottom two couples are Karan and Archana and Mihika and Sahil. The contestants begin to vote them out attempting to create a tie of votes for both jodis. The final decision comes down to Jay and Rituka. Before Jay and Rituka could show their card, Amrita interrupted and told them to choose wisely based on who deserves to stay rather than who is a friend. Jay and Rituka chose to eliminate Karan and Archana. Everyone is shocked and many of the contestants are crying. Karan is very graceful and says he is sad he is eliminated but also happy, that the winner will be one of his friends. He wishes everyone the best of luck. Amrita commends him for being a good sport and for losing so gracefully.

Karan and Archana are eliminated.
