Her haircut seems to have done wonders for her, for, Mandira Bedi now has a new reality show in her kitty, apart from loads of cricket, as usual.
The cricket chick, as she is called, has been a busy soul lately. "I am going to be part of a show on TV, which though it is new for me, is not so for the audience. It's called Ek Se Badhkar Ek. I am going to be hosting this show till the finale. In fact, I will also be seen dancing with Sreesanth in the show. Trust me, I have been practicing my dance moves these days," says Mandira with a big smile. "I then have my film coming out in September called – Meerabai Not Out. Anil Kumble will be doing a cameo in the movie and this is a story of a cricket fan. And I have been travelling a lot because of events," says Mandira, talking nineteen to the dozen.
She will soon be seen in another film – called Mumbai Chakachak. "This film is a tie-up with the Mumbai municipal corporation. It is about cleaning up the city and is a very relevant film for today's time," she says.
So, her haircut has proved to be a lucky charm for her, isn't it? "Do you really like my new haircut? I actually had a bad hairstyle earlier. So, I went to my regular hairstylist to sort it out. She said, 'We cannot sort it out. We will have to cut it really short.' Well, I told her to go for it! So she cut it really short and I liked it. I have just added to it by colouring it at the nape," she says, turning around to show it to us. Though Mandira doesn't like to fill her year with movie shoots, the actress says she does get loads of offers from down South. "I get an offer a week from down South for movies. But I don't see myself going there, bag and baggage, for 30-days, unless the script is absolutely smashing. I have no problem with the language; it just has to be a very strong script. I mean there are so many actors from Bollywood going to work down South, so language is definitely the last barrier for an actor."
Mandira has also been seen endorsing a few brands these days, and says that for her, a brand is an extension of her personality. "When I endorse something, it has to fit my personality. It's got to be something that I use and feel good about. There has to be a connect. I can't do it purely for money."
And something the actress vouches for, when it comes to herself, is a thing that most celebrities are not known for. "I am very punctual! I am very particular about time. I am always on time or before time. That is how I have always been all my life," says the bubbly Mandira.
