Rajesh Kumar's Turning Point
Rajesh Kumar (Rosesh of Sarabhai V Sarabhai) with his wife Madhvi Chopra |
The day I met my pretty wife!
The turning point in my life happened after I met my wife, Madhvi Chopra. We were shooting for an episode called Kashmakash (on Star Plus). We were in Pune at the time, shooting only for a day, and we met just once. But back in Mumbai, of course, we met frequently. Things just clicked and we got married soon. This marked the turning point in my personal life. After she entered my life, everything has changed for the better. Within a year of our marriage, we bought our flat. Soon, I got the role of Rosesh in Sarabhai V Sarabhai. This was a special occasion in my professional life, because I had long waited for an important role such as this.
I wanted to a role that would allow me to prove my worth as an actor. I've always wanted to make my mark in the industry. There are so many actors and wannabes here that it feels really good not only to have got great work but also to be noticed and appreciated by the audience and my contemporaries. Now things have started falling into place. The ride, which was bumpy earlier, is finally getting smooth. In Hindu mythology we say 'ghar pe laxmi aagayee' (the goddess Laxmi has come home)... this is true in my wife's case. She has truly changed my life. I only pray to god that we continue to lead a happy life like we have so far.
