'Waaris kahani hai Rudra Pratap Singh aur Shankar ki' is what Smriti summed up the introduction of Waaris as.

With story line of God Father and Sarkar dominating the show so far, i think we are not wrong to speculate if RPS will prefer Shaurya over Shankar as the Waaris.... but i really doubt that is going to happen. Firstly because having watched Smriti shows this far, i dont think this team will come up with the most famous story the way it is... there surely must be a different take on it... something that will set it apart from God Father. Secondly, if Shaurya is supposed to be the actual Waaris, given how versatile Iqbal is... he could have easily played the role.... Iqbal is the most commercial aspect of Waaris... they arent going to play him down.

I was very surprised today when it wasnt RPS who told Shankar about the attack on Shaurya... Shankar came to know from Shaurya's principal. Why didnt RPS find it fit to inform Shankar even later? May be because he guessed Shankar's reaction and didnt want him to do what Shankar eventually did. There seems to be a permanent apprehension in RPS with regard to Shankar... no matter what Shankar does, this man is never going to be fully impressed

Shankar is one of the most complex characters on the show... I think we will never know him completely... every day, every situation is going to be a revelation. There are a lot of conflicting emotions in him... but he stands loyal to what he is today... not by choice but by a sense of duty towards his dad. It is pretty evident he worships his dad...but doesnt want his child or his brother to be like his dad or him... And he is fiercely protective about that. Even today he was very humble and apologized to the Principal of the college for whatever happened. Even when he asked his brother who did it, and when he came to know how and why the attack happened... he was very controlled infront of his kid brother(given the fact that he was so mad that he killed Pandey) He didnt fly into a fury or say anything against Karan, instead reprimanded Shaurya for not concentrating on studies. He does everything he possibly can to shelter Shaurya... and will. May be he finds solace in his sacrifices as Shaurya can have a normal life because he himself is there for his father.... and he seems to love his brother and father a lot and this is probably his only way of balancing both worlds... and he will give everything that it takes to make this balance work.

If and when RPS chooses Shaurya over Shankar... Shankar is not going to let that happen... not easily atleast. He wouldnt be thinking of his commitment being overlooked, but Shaurya having to be a part of their cruel world. If his family stand by him, Shankar might just revolt against RPS. Having given it a thought, I think there will not be a Waaris... because there will be nothing to inherit... may be as the story progress Yashodha, Shaurya, Gayatri and Shankar himself may root for the 'Samraj' as RPS calls it... to be dismantled.

Excellent analysis of Shankar's character, even I think the character is too complex. There are truly too many shades in him. I'm eagerly awaiting RPS and Shankar's scenes and interaction. I wonder how RPS treats and thinks of Shankar despite his being so loyal and committed.😳 It would also be interesting to see how the loyal Shankar turns into a rebel later if your predictions go right!😉

I mean when I did my "analysis of the first episode" was very shallow, but ur analysis goes so deeeeeeply into the mythos of the show... and makes me look at things in a different wayyyy.

the king liked ur analysis of shankar but he does not think RPS wil choose shaurya over shankar. if tht was the case he wud not have hidden the other side of him frm shaurya all these years. it mite in fact b the other way round. at sum point of time shankar maybe injured (not dead mind you) or sumthing n shaurya mite want 2 step into shankar's shoes much 2 his brother's dislike as shankar has clearly said he wants his son 2 b like shaurya n not him. shaurya mite slowly grow in the underground mafia n whn shankar cums back after getting well their may b a tussle 4 power n thus the conflict begins.

considering shankar's character the king feels he may neva eva b jealous of shaurya or want power over his bro but middle men mite play a crucial role in creating differences amongst the brothers at sum time. stil the relation b/w shankar n RPS has not been shown its interesting 2 c how they deal wid each other considering one is calm n collecetd while the other is hot-blooded. ur theory may cum true here as the things so far tell shaurya has aquired his dad's calm personality by not acting on instinct but using a wait n watch approach 2 attack.

both the brother's are like chalk n cheese which stills deepens the point of conflict. the story wud reach the peak whn brothers r against each other as it wud affect every relation. b it mother, father, wife or sister.

👏 beautiful analysis kahani hai rps aur hamare shankar ki but i think shankar will protect his brother not because he wants the wirasat but perhaps give his brother the life that he could not have.

Shankar has so many shades and I am waiting in earnest to see how iqbal will potray those, one thing it came across as him always sacrificing for shaurya , ithink this will be his ultimate sacrifise..

newayz i think shankar will leave this business one day(for his wife n child) n dats wen RPS will bring shourya into the business. n dats wen the conflict will begin...RPS vs his devoted son (shankar)
