You think being paid 20,000 -35,000 for a song to the singer and getting no proper recognition for the same even if it becomes a hit is a li'l thing? As discussed by friends from the forum earlier, even Lataji had brought out this topic couple of times earlier - was she weird too? There has never been any unity amongst artists in Bollywood as they thrive on professional rivalry - that does not mean that one should not raise a voice against injustice esp if one is in a position to take such risks...like Sonu Nigam

Indian private albums don't do well because 99% of them are bland and boring.. plus there aren't hindi language pop singers that have personality, pizazz to be a rage on their own.. sry2say

Look at the pakistani pop and rock numbers, they infuse classical/sufi elements to the music and even though the albums are under produced they sound great

same goes for Punjabi artistes and private albums..

If they do an album like that Raghu Dixit album which was innovative and good, then things would be different

Yes good and enjoyable music will always be appreciated. But many are the victimes of piracy and illegal copying too, which affects in income of most artistes. Problem is that the copying techniques are getting better and better.
