Today the drama continued from yes'day with Rajshree sharing that it hurt when its said that they ( Amit & she) shd have been out. The audience is voting for them thats why they are there. They respect the judges scores and trying their best. Ahmed retorts saying he is replying on Abhijeet behalf that it hurt him, they are there to judge & stand by their opinion. Now Abhijeet replies that her answer makes him rethink abt Abhishek and he shd have been here!

The judges can criticize the performance, point out mistakes, give low scores but does it befit them to wish a contestant is Out?

Some points to ponder:

1) Shd the judges have a fav making them prejudiced?

2) Is it principled for a judge to say that a contestant shd be out of the show?

3) Being aware and abiding by the format of the show (voting and judges scores) still can the judges complain?

4) Is it right for the judges to carp on public and its voting pattern?

5) Do the judges have the right to critique a performance and the person - both things?

nice topic lav,

1. every human being has a fav, so its possible for judges to have a fav but as individual and not as a judge. there s no point in publicly bragging abt whose ur fav. its just so foolish and unethical.....its almost like pointing that see i m biased and prejudiced.

2. its part of social ethics, even if we feel like strangling someone do u go upto that person and say it on their face?? we dont as its part of decorum. so even if tey feel like saying something of that sort they shd check their words, coz the participants r human too.

3. its like being a cry baby.......grudging and complaining....throwing tantrums...........just adding to drama when they dont have ppl onto whom they hurl harsh words

4. the above reasons only..........i guess they just want to talk and complain abt everything under the sun.....had there been aliens who cd vote, they wd have complained abt them also!!!

5. criticising is something i dont mind. its a good thing, but criticising doesnt mean teh critic has teh right to be insulting and rude...........insult and constructive criticism are different things.
but i personally dont approve of criticising somebody's personality as its not a personality contest. butt having said so, the participants shd also not behave in such a way that it prompts some judge to make some personal criticism.

p.s. sorry if it hurts anybody's emotions.......

I will define a 'judge' in this show to be some-one who appraises critically or a person whose opinion on a particular subject is usually reliable.

This particular show has judges to appraise critically in evaluating performances by pairs.

The determination of who falls in the bottom two was given to the audience/voting public. That's the rule the only rights that was given to Abjiheet and Ahmed was to decide who goes/who stays out of the bottom two.

To stand and point out who goes and who stays after the public has voted is unprofessional and to me now throws doubt on them as impartial judges. To be fair to all participants a judge must always be impartial and stand by the results/rules whether you agree or not.

The judges Ahmed and Abhijeet are changing the rules to suit them. Yesterday episode of waiting to judge jasweer before Santa... what's that about? That's ego... They should have then taken it through and rate all the dancers after all had performed. What happen yesterday was not impartial but arrogance. It was also intended to put down participants especially Rajshree and her partner. No judge has the right to demean contestants like that.

I feel so sorry for Rajshree and her partner to sit and listen/read the venom that is being said about them when their only fault is having the public voted for them.

It's also now an insult to the viewing public because we did not need to justify ourselves to Abhijeet, Ahmed and others why we voted. That's our right to either agree with their thinking or discard it. No judge has the right to take away our views or force us to justify it. They are now behaving like children because the public did not agree with them. It's a free country the last I have heard.

The judges can criticize the performance, point out mistakes, give low scores but does it befit them to wish a contestant is Out? ofcourse not!

Some points to ponder:

1) Shd the judges have a fav making them prejudiced? a true judge is a person, who does not let any bias, prejudice, or negativity affect his/her judgement. The judges can have a favorite, no doubt, but at HOME. They can't carry over their favorites onto the sets and while judging.

2) Is it principled for a judge to say that a contestant shd be out of the show? The thing is that reality shows rarely show a judge, who doesn't carry any bias. That's why these judges don't know how to JUDGE! Judging should only be on performance or whatever they are supposed to be judging not on personality or even opinions.

3) Being aware and abiding by the format of the show (voting and judges scores) still can the judges complain? So many times judges complain and shout at contestants that they shouldn't argue with the format because it was known to them before the show...so the same should go for the judges. The judges are aware of the format, so they should also abide to it without complaining.

4) Is it right for the judges to carp on public and its voting pattern? It is true that voting patterns are NONSENSICAL in India. Nobody really knows how to vote. And only girls vote, rarely guys vote. And that explains the lack of girl winners. But that's how it is and they need to accept it, if not then don't be apart of the show.

5) Do the judges have the right to critique a performance and the person - both things? Judges only have the right to critique a performance and the audience votes on the person usually! 😳

Great topic! Honestly I have seen a wide variety of Reality shows in India and haven't come across a fair and unbiased judge yet! 😆

realitybites: Problem is that the judges want to play God. Shows such as this is the only time when they get to wield some power on poor contestants.

Abhijeet has shown his true colors today when he gave Sanchita a 9 even when she stumbled towards the end of the song. Moreover, he is begging audience to vote for her. If you had paid attention, you would notice that from the days of SRGMP - little champs, he has exhibited shameful partiality towards Sanchita. Why, I don't know. Hoever, it makes me sick to my stomach.

Ahmed, in the begining, held himself back as far as commenting on the singers goes. He used to say he isn't a qualified musician to comments on any singer's performance. Now he doesn't hold back anymore. The way he's criticizing Amit is disgusting. Ahmed is not competent to judge a singer and that's a fact. Abhijeet is not competent to judge dancers and that's a fact. Actually, to think of it, Abhijeet is not competent to judge anybody because he is way too biased and way too blind for his love for Sanchita.

I could have answered your questions one by one, but you get the gist of what I am saying, don't you?
