| Emotions, high; tempers, flared; passions, spent - these are just a few highs and lows of the week that now leads us to Telly Awards. As promised, we continue our reporter's diary on Telly Awards. Today, we take a sneak peek into our studios to find out what our still photographer is upto at the hoarding shoot! 2:00 pm: Well, this is the time that we realise that we are running way behind our schedule! It's not cool to keep stars waiting! And we make a beeline for the first auto that comes our way. As we arrive we find Shama Sikander in front of the mirror, touching up her makeup…and this she did for more time that we can imagine in our wildest possible dreams. "No chips or chocolates for me!
But I am hungry," wails the small screen's favourite Gujju lass, who has to rush to her rehearsals for telly nite. The studio in a matter of hours is star studded, and we know now that we have a hard days work ahead of us.
Next is Vandana Pathak, who walks in looking…well…to say the least, very different! In a backless green choli and matching saree, the lady looked nothing like Jayashree bua and for a minute our jaws dropped! Well, and another thing, the actress has beautiful straight waist length hair…hamari to nazar unse hath nahi raahi thi! (We could not keep our eyes off her beautiful hair) 4:00 pm: Narayani walks in next...in denim jacket and jeans, she is looking simple, yet stylish. But the 'simple' bit quickly went for a hike as she dons a sleek black dress, with her hair flowing unrestricted on her bare shoulders.
Tassneim breezes (as Narayani poses for shots), with her trademark smile for company! Looking tired and drawn out, Tassneim spares no time in getting ready...she oils her face and then washes of her makeup from an earlier shoot! And in no time, we find the actress raring to go! In front of the camera, she transforms into a diva -- all smiles,the day's tiredness forgotten.
6:30 pm : As Tassnim flashes her winning smile and displays her awesome moves, Pawan Shankar walks into the studio and gives his Siddhanth costar a compliment! The lady retaliates in style and they have a verbal duel that makes everyone present break out in giggles. Reena Kapoor, Rani of Woh Rehne Wali..., observes this from a distance and keeps smiling. The ladies then make Pawan pay for this while they pose for the cameras. "I am a married man, what will my wife say!" says Pawan and Tassnim cries out, "Atleast both of you are married, if my guy sees this, he is going to hail me with him to his ship!" They say this and burst out laughing! Finally, the ladies take Pawan's case to their heart's content and then let him go for his solo shoots. Pawan does his thing without any further disturbance and finishes the shoot in no time!
9:30 pm : Mansi Verma is next in line as she poses for the camera in a red top and white skirt....Then Karishma Tanna walks in looking more like a sportstar than an actor. In orange pajamas and black top, she looks fresh and ready to roll. "I am so tired, have been shooting since 7:00 am, but my advantage is that I don't look it," she rattles off. As she walks in, she sees the studio boys having dinner and she tells us that she is hungry too and "I'll eat whatever you people are having. It looks good," with these words she makes everybody fall for her -- hook, line and sinker!
11:30 pm: Rupali came in and lots of hugs and kisses followed as if we are her long lost friends. She kept speaking nineteen to the dozen to Karan Wahi, who kept insisting that he wasn't a kid! Well, he is nineteen and looks it! Karan then gets ready to pose for the shutterbugs. Iqbal Khan comes in...and in style! He refuses any makeup and goes straight to posing for the camera! His shots...awesome! Along the same lines Vikas Sethi, taking a break from his shoot arrives at the studio and is all done in ten minutes flat. Someone asks him, how do you manage to look so fresh at one in the morning, and pat comes his reply -- "i shot the entire day...made loads of money!" 1:00 am :Now, it's another day! And we are still at it! As we lounge around the studio, we see Naseer and Eijaz going about their job...they looked fresh and raring to go! And as we see their exuberance, we rare to borrow some!
3:00 am :Now it is time to say goodbye to the support crew and the photographer and as we drive into the darkness, we know that this was a job well done!
