That interview...could anyone provide a link?Which channel or paper inetrviewed her?

I doubt if deepika knew the player's full name at all😆

But can you blame her?Is anyone expected to know who this guy is?

And No she was most certainly not trying to show off!I think the writer was just trying to put down an actress..sounding childish instead.

Vijay Amritraj interviews Deepika Padukone for Star Sports, just before the Wimbledon semi-finals.

Vijay: What are your feelings about the Nadal-Schuettler match?
Deepika: Obviously Nadal is the favourite, but it's great to see this new guy doing well despite being unseeded.

Note: "new guy" is 32-year-old tour veteran Rainer Schuettler, a one-time world number 5 (???!!!)and Australian Open finalist, experiencing one of those late-career purple patches.

Rainer Schttler (born April 25, 1976) is a professional tennis player from Germany. He began playing tennis at the age of ten. He currently resides in Switzerland.

2004 was the sixth straight year in which he finished in the ATP top 50.

I would kill to be able to watch Wimbledon live (forgot to add that earlier always can watch on T.V.). Follow the ladies more, but I have been a big Nadal fan. I so want him to beat Federer tomorrow.

funny. She being the big "tennis fan" oh come on... I mean any tennis fan
would know his name. I'm not even a tennis fan and I know his name...

That makes 2 of us😃 I might be going off topic slightly but I simply adore Nadal and I hope he derails the Federer express in the final. Federer is a classy player and tough to beat but after seeing how much Nadal has achieved, and within so little time...I think it might be his year😉

Going back to Deeps, bless her. She's a tennis fan, right? So how could she make that mistake?!
