Pls post pic of Malmalpur cave from http://gumla.nic.in/tourism.htm. Its a vast mountains and hills of PALKOT have kept hidden a number of mysteries in its caves, brooklets, ponds etc. Palkot is situated on N.H.-23 (Gumla-Simdega National Highway) at about 25 KM from Gumla district headquarter. The caves of MALMALPUR and SHITALPUR are extra ordinary, where one cannot enter without a blanket even in hot summer month (Jeth). Villagers believe that the cave of MALAYPUR, where SUGRIVA had taken shelter in fear of his brother BALI, is today's MALMALPUR.

hi shettysudesh the in wikipedia link u have provided it is mentioned that Pampa lake n Rishyamukh mountain r in southern India(Karnataka). Yes these two places can't be in North India as Ram Laxman went southward in search of Sita. The present name of Pampa Lake in Tungabhadra Lake.

Its my confusion too. How Pampa lake n Mantang Rishi's Aashram can be in North India. They crossed Vindhya Mountain to reach Pancahvati. My doubt is that how Mantag Rishi's Hermitage n Pampa Sarovar can be in Jharkhand. Nasik is the place from where Sita was abducted. Ram-Laxman went southward in search for Sita. How these two places can be in Jharkhand?

Can anyone tell in which state Kishkindha n Rishyamukh Mountain is?

its in karnataka
