Jai Bhanushali unraveled

Did Ekta skip her blue-eyed boy, Jai Bhanushali or is it the other way around? Did Jai decide to give Ekta's magnum opus a skip because there was a conflict of interest? Most of Ekta's coteries are essaying important characters in her Kahani Hamaray Mahabharat Ki. So, where does that leave Jai Bhanushali, we couldn't help wonder. But, then, Jai is one actor we can stop worrying about. A chip off the old block is Jai.

Smart, savvy and lives each day as it comes by without regret or a frown marring the perfect ness it presents. He is content with what is in his kitty and when questioned in a recent interview said, "Don't you think I would look funny wearing a crown in an epic mythology?" The actor's claim to fame was his dance reality shows where he became a household name. His character as Neev Shergil in Balaji Productions, Kayamath was nothing to write him about. And the latest grapevine doing rounds is Jai quitting the show. "I think it's the right time for me to leave the show because I feel there is nothing left in it for me," he said.

And we couldn't help wonder if the move was a conscious decision to move into Bollywood? With mischief twinkling in his eyes, his answer is silence and a dimpled smile. But, as of now, we have it on record that the actor is looking for meatier roles. But, if meatier roles are in the agenda, then isn't Kahani Hamaray Mahabharat Ki the latest buzz in the industry?

A clipped reply, "No epics for me" left us wondering of the simmering tiff between the soap queen and Jai. And he denied the tiff. "This is not at all true. We share a good understanding and, moreover, she always respects my decision," the actor maintained.

The savvy actor has always maintained, "There is no point in spoiling relations with anyone since the industry is a very small place and one is sure to come face-to-face with one's previous co-workers again." And it's probably the same motto, which has landed him the latest reality show, Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket, which is jointly produced by Balaji Telefilms Ltd and Popcorn Entertainment.
