Varun Badola returns to films

With television not offering him much satisfaction, Varun Badola has set his sights on films. Last seen in Main Meri Patni Aur Woh, Varun is set to resume his Bollywood career with a murder mystery.

Commenting on the film, he says, "The film is called Aaja Gunha Karle and it's directed by Soorya, who had earlier assisted Ram Gopal Verma. It's a tale of four friends who find themselves in the middle of a murder mystery. Rajesh Shringarpure, last seen in Sarkar Raj, plays the lead. I play one of the four friends and my character is called Puneet. We've shot the best part of the film and will complete the remainder once I return from Goa."

The success of Rajeev Khandelwal's Aamir has rekindled hopes among other television actors to take to films. "Aamir is a brilliant film. A lot of new directors are coming up and they are showing faith in TV actors. No longer do we find actors eyeing for big banner films. If the story and its execution are good, then the audience will like it," concludes Varun.
