US Updates - Saat Phere

Update November 20

So the episode starts off with Saloni being forced to apologize for her
behavior. She refuses to do so and furthermore she refuses to get
married into that family. Ambika forces her to apologize and
Narpat tries to reason with her that apologies don't make one
smaller. Saloni agrees to apologize, but Saloni will not
sacrifice her father's principles and integrity. They settle that
she will apologize.

Saloni's mother urges her father to bring Samar and Kaveri back
home. Narpat is adament that he will not bring them home and
walks off. Ambika and her dewarani will take care of what needs
to be done.

Mano calls Takhorine Padma and they agree to meet Saloni
tomorrow. Takhorine Padma and her nalayak son have a conversation
about Saloni. He says that he will not marry her as she slapped
him. Takhorine says that they are getting 4 lacs extra for her
slap. Takhorine says that they will get even with her once she is
married into the family.

Saloni thinks about all the happenings and everyone's thana's.
She thinks of her love, Neel. She thinks about how much she needs
Neel and that he is not there.

Neel is talking with Rewa and he is telling her about his family.
Rewa phone rings, but she ignores it. She asks Neel to continues
and he tells her of his tragedy. Neel tells her about Aapji and
the phone rings again. Neel finally asks her to answer the
phone. She asks him not interfere in her personal matters and
walks off. The house phone rings and Neel answers. The
person says that Rewa is his and belongs to him. Rewa catches him
answering the phone. She is even more upset. She says that
she wants to be left alone.

Kaveri bhabi and Samar buy Shubra a gift and she is very happy.
They talk about how nice it would be if all the families got
along....and the ultimate yuck factor...Shubra says that all these
caste systems and backward beliefs need to be left behind. Then
Samar and Kaverie discover that Shubra has come without
permission. Samar is worried about Saloni. Kaveri rolls her
eyes upon Salon's mention. Shubra is talking about Saloni in a
very mean manner.

Ambika, Mano are meeting with Kaveri's family. The way they talk
makes my blood boil! Ambika says that she wants to take Kaveri
home as her daughter. They talk about exchanging money. No
one wants Narpat to know. Shubra, Kaveri and Samar show up.

Everyone goes home and Narpat is upset and wants to know where everyone has been. They have all been to mandir. 🤢 Bhagwan ke naam le kar jhoot bolthe hai! 😡

Narpat says that they must go to Padma Takhorine. Narpat goes to
get Saloni and she is sitting in deep thought. The leave for
Padma's house. Mano is saying some backward garbage. Narpat
gets to the point for them to accept Saloni's apology. Padma is
quite strict and gives them a hard time about their apology. They
ask Saloni to apologize to Padma and through actions request that she
gets up. With heavy heart she gets up...starts
walking....(moments of suspense)...Saloni raises her hand to Padma and
bows down to touch her feet. Padma moves her feet away leaving
Saloni in tears....and the episode ends.

Update November 21

Takhorine's house

Saloni apologizes with tears in her eyes. Takhorine throws the ring past
her. So cruel one can be! Saloni has to pick it up and everyone looks at
her helplessly as she inches towards the ring. Takhorine is looking very
content. Saloni picks up the ring and looks at it...she puts it on. Narpat,
Ambika and Saloni go home and Saloni goes up to her room. Narpat
wishes he wasn't alive to see all this and that he feels really low. Ambika
says that being from the girl's side, they must endure such experiences.

Narpat's house

Narpat says that he must go and collect the money. He goes to see
someone who can give him a loan, but the loan person says that he needs
to put his house up as collateral. Narpat says this is not possible as his
house is already in collateral. His wife has been collecting money from
the loan guy and that he needs to go ask his wife. Narpat confronts his
wife. She says that what she does is her business. Narpat is upset that
because of her he can't get the money.

Saloni's room

Now we are in Saloni's room and Shubra is there to add insult to injury.
She teases Saloni some more. Shubra needs a good ole spankin...a
couple of them. Saloni asks Bua what is she to do. Bua says all the
importance lies in Saloni's marriage and basically no one cares about her
happiness.

Bank?

Narpat enters a bank and discovers two men having a conversation about
Narpat. They are talking about Narpat being unable to his loan.

Back to Narpat's house

He thinks about and the amount of dowry being raised to 25 lakhs then
he thinks about what Saloni had said about his integrity. Ambika
approaches him as she was worried about where he had been. Ambika
says not to worry and that everyone thing will be ok. Narpat is upset with
Samar and that Samar is ungrateful. Ambika says to calm down. Finally,
Narpat says if the wedding is called off this time that he will surely die.
Saloni over hears their conversation and...uh...cries. (I mean u feel bad
for her, but then u think more crying ).

Some guy comes in and talks about a project that has past it's due date.
He offers Narpat a bribe to get it completed, but Narpat refuses and the
guy proceeds to leave. Then Saloni enters the office. She askshim to
save her...but he realizes that she came in his thoughts. He calls the guy
back and agrees to take the case. He takes the bribe for his daughter but
asks the guy to place it in his drawer. (Poor Narpat sacrifices a lot for his
daughters, but he does it...gives up his integrity...all that he stands for..to
make sure his daughters are happy, but are they really happy?)

Chaudhery's House

Saloni goes to see Samar at the Chaudhery's. She introduces herself and
he greets her with open arms. He calls for Kaveri and Kaveri arrives.
Then Kaveri calls for Samar and she just looks at him. Samar asks Kaveri
to bring him something to eat. Samar cannot make eye contact with her.
She is upset with Samar's decisions as he let their father down. Samar
feels that he was majboor. Saloni asks what is majboori was that he had
to leave everyone. Samar doesn't respond..she keeps pleading...he
doesn't respond. Kaveri orders him to respond. Samar doesn't want to
say what the problem is and hurt his family further. Saloni feels that he
could have talked to the family, but Samar just did what he wanted to do.
Kaveri tells Saloni about Samar's wedding saga...he was to marry a
characterless girl so that there would be enough money for Saloni's
dowry.

Narpat's office

Narpat is thinking about his actions. He is disappointed in himself. At
this point, Chaudhery Sahab enters and introduces himself. He ask
Narpat to accept Kaveri and Narpat refuses. Chaudhery asks him again,
but basically Narpat is upset with Samar and not Kaveri. Narpat feels that
Samar's payment for his deeds is to stay away from his house. Chaudhery
walks out of the office. The anti corruption unit arrives. They drop
another bomb on Narpat by informing him that they are there to
investigate Narpat accepting bribes.

Chaudhery House

Saloni pleads with Samar to tell her the truth. Finally Samar tells Saloni
that he had initially lied to Saloni to protect her and what Kaveri is saying
is the truth. The episode ends.

Very sad for Narpat and Saloni...so many antagonists and not enough
protagonists... 🤢
