20 June Episode
The host, Annu Kapoor welcomed every participant, judge and the audience to the Contest. He informed that the 4 warriors of each group have been chosen and from now onwards, the audience will also play an important role in deciding their future. He, however, informed that Abbas Ali, of the Sufi Sultanat would not be able to perform because some visa technicalities have held him back.
First round :-
The evening begins with Sharib singing the song 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' from Dil Se.
After his performance, Ila Arun (IA) comments that he has given a rocking and fantastic performance. She gave him 10/10.
Fateh Ali (RA) Sa'ab also complimented him saying that he was satisfied with Sharib's performance. He gave 9/10.
Anand Raj Anand (ARA) said that Sharib was the hidden weapon in his group and the storm that nobody could detect easily. He was happy with Sharib's performance.
Next from the Sufi Sultanat, RA requested Akbar Ali to perform. He chose the song 'Piya more nainon mein …sanson ki mala pe sumru pi ka naam'.
ARA said that he had come to stage with 'mohabbat ka paigam' and has sung flawlessly. He gave the score 10/10.
IA said that while Akbar was singing, she was holding her breath constantly lest the song ended. She was ecstatic and gave Akbar 10/10.
It was the turn of Maati ke Lal next. Kalpana came and sang the song 'Piya re piya re, abhi to aaja…'
After her performance, ARA commented that he would like to bow down in front of the writer of the song and complimented Kalpana for giving a flawless performance. He also added that apart from singing well, Kalpana had an amazing screen presence and he felt like watching an actress during the performance. He gave her 10/10.
RA said that he was a fan of the way with which Kalpana sang and he gave her 10/10.
Second Round :-
After a tiff between ARA and IA regarding the supremacy of film music, the show resumed with ARA asking Shadab to come on stage.
Shadab sang the song 'Maa…' from Taare Zameen Pe.
IA said that Shadab's expressions and feelings during the song were great and it touched the chord of her heart. She gave him 9/10.
A moist-eyed RA said that the song took him somewhere else and he was stunned. The song reminded him of his Mother and he recited two lines depicting how the first word that a child learns in the world is Maa. He gave Shadab 10/10.
Next IA called Malini on stage. She sang 'Kahe ko bihaai videsh …', a folk song based on a daughter's feeling about getting married and leaving her parent's house and going away to a faraway place. The song written by Hazrat Amir Khusrau also depicted the Father's helplessness in such a situation.
ARA stood up and offered his pranam after seeing and listening Malini's performance. He said that any person, having even a minute knowledge of music, would feel elated on hearing Malini sing tonight. He gave her 10/10.
RA agreed with ARA and said that it was a superlative performance. He also gave a perfect score to Malini. 10/10.
IA said that the song touched her heart, especially because it's a song that every married daughter could relate to.
The audience gave Malini a standing ovation for her performance. 👏👏👏
From the Sufi gharana, Mohd. Vakil stepped on stage to perform. He chose the song 'Ae karam parvar karam …' requesting God's benevolence to grant him forgiveness for his mistakes, saying that he was not expecting any justice from him.
Mohd. Vakil later informed that he owed everything to hus Ustaad who had picked him up as a child and given him everything, even a parents' love.
ARA commented that he wished that the mehfil wouldn't end ever and that Mohd. Vakil gave a great performance. He gave him 9/10.
IA told Vakil that she loved his style of singing and was touched to see him dedicating such a beautiful song to his Ustaad. She gave him 10/10.
Round 3: -
To change the mood of the mehfil, ARA called in Saptak who sang 'Pehli nazar mein …'
After his performance, IA said that the nature of emotion reflected by this song was also important and that Saptak had sung it beautifully. She gave him 10/10.
RA remarked that Saptak had changed the mood of the entire place and that he liked the subtle changes that Saptak had made in the song. He gave Saptak 10/10.
Harshdeep next stepped onto the stage. She chose the song 'Allah hu ..', experimenting with the song by including some English lyrics too to bring about versatility in Sufi music. Annu Kapoor appreciated her gesture.
ARA said that Harshdeep had become more alert now as a performer and her performance was flawless. He gave her 9/10.
IA remarked that it was a very good performance and she gave Harshdeep 9/10.
It was now Rajeeb's turn to come to the stage. He sang 'Kanchi re kanchi re …'
ARA stated that Rajeeb had a distinctive style of performance and he sang the song straight from his heart. He gave Rajeeb 8/10.
RA also said that Rajeeb sang well, especially since it was the composition of a great music director, R. D. Burman. He also gave Rajeeb 8/10.
Round 4: -
The Bollywood Ka Badshah ganag started this round, with Antara singing 'Chaliya …' from the film Tashan.
RA said that it was a mind-blowing performance and that the expressions were apt too. The score was 10/10.
IA said that it was an energetic performance and that Antara was turning out to be 'chhoti si guriya, aafat ki puriya'. She gave her 10/10.
Next, it was Lakhinder Wadali's turn to regale the audience. He chose the song 'Balle balle, shava shava ..' and had the audience dancing to his tune.
ARA stated that Lakhinder had changed the mood completely and had given an energetic performance. His score card read 9/10.
RA commented that lakhinder had improved a lot and had also held on to the 'sur' properly. He gave him 10/10.
Since Abbas Ali, the last performer was absent, ARA requested RA to sing a song and IA joined him. RA finally sang 'nainon ki mat maniyo re, nainon ki mat suniyo …' for which he received a standing ovation. 👏👍🏼

The Show ended with Annu Kapoor promising more power-packed performances the next day.
