We have always came across that Dashrath never had a daughter hence he loved all his daughter-in-laws very much as if they were his own daughters and so did the 3 wives of him!! Ramji loved all his 3 brothers very much but wht about His sister. Does any1 knows that if the 4 brothers ever met their sister!!

Shanta's mention is in Ramayana. u'll find it in Bal kand. She came with Rishi Shring in Putreyesthi Yagna. Dasrath gave her in adoption because once he gave words to one of his king friend that he will give his child in adoption to him ( his king friend was child-less). Later on Rishi Shring proposes her for marriage n she accepts it.
