16 contestants gear up for the ultimate battle of the sexes

Blue: "Anything you can do I can do better."

Red: "I can do anything better than you."

And that in a nutshell is what Star One's new reality show Zara Nachke Dikha is all about. Imagine a reality show that solely concentrates on the battle of the sexes... Oh wait! TV channel NDTV Imagine did that already and it was called Say Shava Shava. Remember Simi Garewal and Karan Johar were the judges? So what makes this reality show, based on the same age old argument any different?

Zara Nachke... boasts of contestants who are fresh off soaps as well as those who are by-products of reality shows. When little Sweeny Kare and 9 year old Amey Pandya jumped onto stage we couldn't help look at our watches and say, "Hey, shouldn't they be at school, or something?"

Ali Asgar, Jennifer Winget and Chaitanya Chowdhary are some of the other now comers on the show. Also, Big Boss's cry fest Rupali Ganguli and ex-Indian Idol and ex-Joh Jeeta... Contestant Amit Tandon will be joined by Nach Baliye contestants – Manish Goel and Delnaz Paul.

The intricacies of the show format have not been decided upon... neither has the judging panel, show host or even sponsors! All that's been decided upon so far is that the game will have 16 contestants and will start sometime in July.

But that doesn't really matter, does it? As reality shows have gotten more prolific than the Indian population and the audience truly enjoys watching the 'human' side of their fictional soap stars on screen

So there we have it. A new reality show, all set to be aired in July... Showcasing the ultimate battle of the sexes and promises entertainment as a few cleaver boys take on a couple of catty women.

While Delnaz is keen on proving to Bakhtiyar that she is a better dancer, Ali Azghar is over the moon as he finally gets to participate on a dance show, something he was unable to do earlier as his wife isn't inclined towards Bollywood and she wouldn't hear of it.

Narayani and Gaurav preferred to dance with different partners at the launch and barely looked at each other throughout the evening. Speculations were raised as to whether the couple are headed towards splitsville but the duo got defensive a little to quickly and cut any further questions blaming the format of the show, etc...
