FATHER'S DAY

I lost my father when I was four in an accident. So did not know what father's love was although I had heard he was very fond of me. My grand dad, however, more than made up for his loss. I get moved seeing fathers' interaction with their children particularly their daughters. So happy father's day to all the fathers out there.

Yes, Madhu, my grand dad was (and still is) my hero, although he is no more. He was a lot like Milind, short-tempered but with a golden heart, a man who made his own destiny and that of several others, a typical family man, a hard working professional, an honest and rightenous man who was loved by people from all strata. I am really proud of him. Unlike Milind, however, he did not abuse my grandmom or alchohol !

My hubby is out of town and will get back tonight. I guess my son will get to spend atleast a couple of hours with him before he goes to bed.

Dont feel sorry Vasu. I am a strong believer of fate and that everything happens for a reason. The role my grandparents played in my life is unforgettable. I am what I am because of them.
