So here comes my very selfish fangirl request-pleaseee give us more frequent updates! 🙈❤️ Pretty pleaseeee? I'm way too invested to wait patiently now! 😂😭❤️

Next few chapters will be TuHir centric only. I am trying my very best to give shorter but frequent chapters.

I'm trying my best to write next one quickly - just getting struck to decide certain points on how to take the conference forward - the sequence of events etc.

When is your review coming

OMG AUTHOR SAHIBA!! 😭😭😭❤️

My Tuhir heart is absolutely bursting with happiness after reading Chapter 44!

This chapter was a masterclass in slow-burn reunion dynamics, mature romance, and deep emotional healing. From the quiet opening on the flight where Tulsi stays still just to let Mihir rest against her, to the striking contrast in how the organizers treat them, every single beat hit perfectly.

Seeing Mihir's silent outrage at her being treated like an afterthought, alongside his adorable confusion over whether he was allowed to claim her in public, made the lobby scene an absolute triumph! 😃

Tulsi taking that leap on her own terms away from family pressure and maybe teasing.. "I would like to stay in my husband, Mr. Mihir Virani's, suite" left me cheering, especially with their lovesick elevator banter right after! I always enjoy seeing them bantering and teasing each other 🥰 But if I am honest, I was secretly hoping to see some fun where people don't know about their relationship and some fun it could bring or their secretly flirting/romancing each other. 😃😉 But ye bhi achha hai.

I have to admit, though, Richard Hendricks' introduction left me a bit confused at first! When he initially walked up, he gave Tulsi just a generic, polite nod reserved for an ordinary "plus-one" spouse, only shifting into genuine warmth and remembering her incredible hospitality once he saw her lanyard and realized she was there representing Bandhej! It felt a bit odd that an old family friend who had spent an unforgettable evening at her home eight years ago wouldn't instantly recognize the matriarch of the house before reading her name tag.🤷🏻‍♀️

The thoughtful domestic touches like Mihir secretly packing her shawls because "Mujhe tumhara sab pata hota hai," and that thrilling detail of him quietly hiding the 5-carat sapphire ring under his shirts, added so much warmth and anticipation. 🤗 Sharing the room and bed felt completely natural, grounded, and free of artificial drama. But it was the ending that completely broke me: Mihir's lingering hesitation to touch her loose hair, his realization that wherever she is, that is his home, and his silent tears in the dark thanking her for coming back to him. 🥺

You captured their dignity, deep history, and unbreakable bond so flawlessly. This chapter was a 100/10 masterpiece, and I cannot wait for the next update! 🔥✨

CHAPTER 44

This chapter felt like one long, quiet exhale.

There was something so beautiful about the way nothing huge had to happen for the chapter to feel enormous. Tulsi waking up with her head against Mihir, him still instinctively protecting her from the cold window, the two of them exchanging a simple "Jai Shri Krishna" after everything they've been through... those little moments somehow carried more weight than a dramatic confession ever could.

And then the hotel lobby scene. That line. "I would like to stay in my husband's suite."

I actually had to pause there because after everything these two have been through, it wasn't just a logistical decision. It felt like Tulsi quietly reclaiming something that had been lost for years. What made it even better was that she didn't make a spectacle of it. She just said it. Calmly. Almost matter-of-factly. But we as readers know exactly how much that sentence cost her and how much it means.

And Mihir asking her with just that look if he should say something... that tiny Kahoon kuch? moment was so him. He wants to protect her, but he is also finally learning that protecting Tulsi doesn't mean deciding for her. He waits for her answer. She gives it. And he follows her lead. That was such a lovely reflection of how far their relationship has come.

I also really loved the Bandhej banner scene. Tulsi seeing that tiny "Bandhej - India" among all those massive international names and immediately wanting to record it "ladkiyon ke liye" got me. Because Mihir can see the significance of the conference in terms of prestige and recognition, but Tulsi's first thought is still about the women who built this with her. And then Richard recognizing her separately from Mihir's world made that even more satisfying.

"She's here in her own right this time."

That line from Mihir was such a quietly proud husband moment. He wasn't introducing her as an extension of Virani Industries or as his wife who happened to be accompanying him. He was telling someone from his world about her work. About what she had built. You could feel how proud he was without the chapter needing to spell it out.

But honestly, the parts that destroyed me were the smallest ones.

Mihir knowing she'd get cold and bringing shawls and thermals without being asked.

Tulsi reminding him to take his BP medicine.

Her waking him by touching his forehead.

Him wanting to touch her hair but hesitating because six and a half years have changed even the things that once required no thought.

And then that tiny moment where he finally reaches out, touches her hair once, and immediately pulls his hand back like he's afraid of being caught.

That "Usne dekha toh nahi?" absolutely got me. 😭

Because this is what makes their reconciliation feel so much more meaningful to me. They aren't suddenly behaving like the separation never happened. They're relearning each other. Every familiar gesture has become something new because there is now history attached to it. He remembers what it was like to touch her without thinking, but he also remembers what it was like to lose her. So even affection comes with caution now.

And then the 1:45-ish scene...

That was probably my favourite part of the entire chapter.

Mihir waking up in the dark and, for one terrible second, expecting the empty side of the bed - only to remember that she's actually there - was heartbreaking in such a quiet way. The line about his body having learned to expect the emptiness after six and a half years really stayed with me.

And then:

This is my home.

That didn't feel like a romantic line. It felt like something much deeper. Like his body finally realizing something his mind has probably been afraid to believe for months: she came back, and this time she's choosing to stay.

The tears made complete sense. Especially because he wasn't crying to be forgiven. He wasn't asking anything from her. She wasn't even awake. It was just the overwhelming relief of having something he'd thought he'd permanently lost lying peacefully three feet away from him.

And I loved that Tulsi gets her own quiet moment afterward too. She wakes around three, sees him sleeping, smiles, drinks some water, lies back down facing him, and sleeps peacefully. No dramatic internal monologue needed. Just contentment. After everything, contentment feels huge.

Also, the sapphire ring sitting in the closet??? 👀

The fact that Mihir couldn't even bring himself to leave it in the safe after she might see it, and instead tucked it under his clothes... sir. 😂 We see you. I am now extremely suspicious of every closet-related sentence in this story.

What I think I loved most about this chapter, though, is that it didn't treat sharing the suite as the culmination of their reconciliation. It treated it as something much quieter: the next ordinary step.

They're not suddenly healed. They're not pretending the six and a half years didn't happen. They're simply sleeping in the same room again. Sharing a duvet. Walking together. Eating ice cream. Discussing shawls. Reminding each other about medicines. Making plans for tomorrow.

And somehow those ordinary things feel incredibly romantic because of everything it took for them to get back to this point.

This chapter genuinely felt like watching two people who have spent years learning how to survive separately finally discovering what it feels like to rest beside each other again.

And after all the pain, all the hesitation, all the almosts...

They finally slept through the night.

That feels like a victory all by itself. ❤️

Awaiting the next eagerly!

My Tuhir heart is absolutely bursting with happiness after reading Chapter 44!

Love love love this reaction! ❤️❤️❤️😁

It's reactions like these that made me keep going even when there's nothing to actually inspire me on screen.

This chapter was a masterclass in slow-burn reunion dynamics, mature romance, and deep emotional healing. From the quiet opening on the flight where Tulsi stays still just to let Mihir rest against her, to the striking contrast in how the organizers treat them, every single beat hit perfectly.

Sach me - thank you so much for saying this dear!!

@bold - you don't how much such validation is needed for an author who has her moments of doubt.

Seeing Mihir's silent outrage at her being treated like an afterthought, alongside his adorable confusion over whether he was allowed to claim her in public, made the lobby scene an absolute triumph! 😃

Yeah he's outraged but at the same time he's not sure if he can intervene on her behalf or if she would want to remain independent of him at this conference.

😃😉 But ye bhi achha hai.

since dhuleti, the family is waiting with bated breath ki kab tulsi apne original bedroom mein wapas jaayegi. No one says anything but tulsi can sense it in the air.

That pressure adding to the probable awkwardness between her and Mihir (which didn't happen because he played it cool too taking a cue from her in the elevator) would have been too much to handle - added to the fact that, despite the yearning she saw clearly in his eyes for her to return to their bedroom, he would never have asked her openly to return. So that onus was on her only - which also added to her pressure.

So, since it was decided that Mihir will come in place of Ritik, she'd been forming her resolve. This divides the pressure in a way - she thought - by the time they return home - that comfort would be restored between them ( it didn't take much effort - but she couldn't know it beforehand naa)

Their banter is a unique part of their relationship - without it, there won't be TuHir na?

@bold - your wish is my command! So far the organizers only know their relationship, the rest of the participants don't know! And your request/wish came just in time - I was just starting the next chapter so I could put that scene before the introductions - hope you enjoy it (and certainly hope I didn't go overboard with it)

I accept that scene came out wrong - i got confused and tried to show 2 different things there that couldn't be portrayed together at all. Really sorry about that.

The thoughtful domestic touches like Mihir secretly packing her shawls because "Mujhe tumhara sab pata hota hai," and that thrilling detail of him quietly hiding the 5-carat sapphire ring under his shirts, added so much warmth and anticipation. 🤗

Yes - usne tulsi ko khoke paaya haina - so he realizes her value more now and his entire focus is on her now

Sharing the room and bed felt completely natural, grounded, and free of artificial drama. But it was the ending that completely broke me: Mihir's lingering hesitation to touch her loose hair, his realization that wherever she is, that is his home, and his silent tears in the dark thanking her for coming back to him. 🥺

Thank you dear - I am so glad it all landed well.

You captured their dignity, deep history, and unbreakable bond so flawlessly. This chapter was a 100/10 masterpiece, and I cannot wait for the next update! 🔥✨

Omg Omg - someone hold me down - I'm floating in the air after reading this.❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗

Next chapter is ready - just need to edit and polish it - will post by tomorrow morning

And I actually exhaled in relief after reading this line from you ❤️

Tulsi waking up with her head against Mihir, him still instinctively protecting her from the cold window, the two of them exchanging a simple "Jai Shri Krishna" after everything they've been through... those little moments somehow carried more weight than a dramatic confession ever could.

Yes, if you see I let the mundane everyday things/gestures carry the narrative forward- I keep the drama to the minimum. Yes everything felt like them, right. That - jai Shree Krishna- instantly did away with any awkwardness or them having to name or comment on what happened

Exactly! Even Mihir was kind of stunned - not exactly surprised though- the way she said it was certainly a beauty as you rightly point out, but what added to it was that - no one else got the enormity! For the organizers and hotel staff - it was just a logistical adjustment

Exactly - now he asks for her permission before intervening even on her behalf. He doesn't assume claim or that she would want to acknowledge their relationship

I also really loved the Bandhej banner scene. Tulsi seeing that tiny "Bandhej - India" among all those massive international names and immediately wanting to record it "ladkiyon ke liye" got me.

Oh thank you so much dear for mentioning the banner scene - more than tulsi, it's the girls who are excited about this conference and as tulsi says it's for the girls that she came

Because Mihir can see the significance of the conference in terms of prestige and recognition, but Tulsi's first thought is still about the women who built this with her. And then Richard recognizing her separately from Mihir's world made that even more satisfying.

"She's here in her own right this time."

Yes exactly - for Mihir it's tulsi's achievement but for her, she can't forget her girls

@bold - Yes even I loved the way that line came out

That line from Mihir was such a quietly proud husband moment. He wasn't introducing her as an extension of Virani Industries or as his wife who happened to be accompanying him. He was telling someone from his world about her work. About what she had built. You could feel how proud he was without the chapter needing to spell it out.

Exactly - that was his pride and i am so glad i could portray it without stating it explicitly

But honestly, the parts that destroyed me were the smallest ones.

You won't believe the amount of thought that goes into the small details. So you can imagine how much it means to me when someone points it out

Mihir knowing she'd get cold and bringing shawls and thermals without being asked.

Tulsi reminding him to take his BP medicine.

Her waking him by touching his forehead.

I loved all these too - especially the hand on his forehead

Him wanting to touch her hair but hesitating because six and a half years have changed even the things that once required no thought.

And then that tiny moment where he finally reaches out, touches her hair once, and immediately pulls his hand back like he's afraid of being caught.

That "Usne dekha toh nahi?" absolutely got me. 😭

Yes poor guy is so afraid of offending her even a bit! But it's only the first day - as gayatri chachi predicted- any remaining hesitation will melt away on this trip.

Right! I absolutely can't understand stories where people behave as if suddenly everything is normal between them - it makes no sense to me.

I somehow instinctively knew - YOU will like this scene. Thank you dear

And then:

This is my home.

That didn't feel like a romantic line. It felt like something much deeper. Like his body finally realizing something his mind has probably been afraid to believe for months: she came back, and this time she's choosing to stay.

Yes exactly- it wasn't meant to be a romantic line at all- it was meant to convey exactly what you said

The tears made complete sense. Especially because he wasn't crying to be forgiven. He wasn't asking anything from her. She wasn't even awake. It was just the overwhelming relief of having something he'd thought he'd permanently lost lying peacefully three feet away from him.

Even I felt the tears felt natural - and him waking up twice felt right because I have established his insomnia earlier

And I loved that Tulsi gets her own quiet moment afterward too. She wakes around three, sees him sleeping, smiles, drinks some water, lies back down facing him, and sleeps peacefully. No dramatic internal monologue needed. Just contentment. After everything, contentment feels huge.

Exactly - not every moment needs internal reflection or monologue- just a feeling of contentment is enough

Oh really😂😂😂 I don't even know whether to play off your suspicions or not - in future chapters 🤣🤣

What I think I loved most about this chapter, though, is that it didn't treat sharing the suite as the culmination of their reconciliation. It treated it as something much quieter: the next ordinary step.

The day their reconciliation is complete- the story ends! But their relationship needs to be tested before that can happen -

Yes it’s just the next ordinary step - that’s how i wanted it to feel.

They're not suddenly healed. They're not pretending the six and a half years didn't happen. They're simply sleeping in the same room again. Sharing a duvet. Walking together. Eating ice cream. Discussing shawls. Reminding each other about medicines. Making plans for tomorrow.

Yes it’s not a fairytale where everything is suddenly forgotten

And somehow those ordinary things feel incredibly romantic because of everything it took for them to get back to this point.

Thank you for saying this - at times I wonder if I should put in more obvious romance but so glad these ordinary caring scenes come out as romantic as I hope they will

This chapter genuinely felt like watching two people who have spent years learning how to survive separately finally discovering what it feels like to rest beside each other again.

Exactly! It’s like they finally found peace besides each other

And after all the pain, all the hesitation, all the almosts...

They finally slept through the night.

That feels like a victory all by itself. ❤️

Exactly! Though Mihir being an insomniac had to wake up 2 times but the good thing is he could fall back asleep

Awaiting the next eagerly!

Will post tomorrow morning probably or maybe very late tonight

Thank you so much dear! My replies in red

Ye dekho 😂😂😂 inka kya ho rha hai idhar?? Aapki wali Tulsi aise nhi dekh rhi aur aapka wala Mihir bhi sab kuch man me hi bol rha haismiley36

Chapter 44:

Their flight journey , their comfort and the ease with which they were sitting is visually spectacular. And this whole of Flight description -Tulsi admiring Mihir's sleeping face, posture, his breath patterns, his fragrance , warmth , the contentment , she can't take her eyes off him is an understatement. Actually she missed these waking by his side and felt again. it felt so natural and this whole explanation is nothing less than a beautiful poem.

She has no will to wake him up, want to re-live the moments, reassure herself life is tracing back to their old form.

her noticing the change in his face, the moment he woke up,-

Not while he was still like this, his face slack and unguarded in sleep, some old tension she hadn't even fully registered in his waking face now smoothed entirely away.

it's beautiful , she started reading him again.

They admiring and living the moment looked so surreal and beautiful. Itfelt like it's a calm , a breathless pause, a gentle sweep, rhythmic , suddenly everything around looked beautiful , Mihir's body giving up, Tulsi asking him stretch his legs until she is back shows the care. Handing him her handbag looked so simple. This is how it happens be it any class.

Mihir's annoyance when Tulsi was asked to join to share her cab with other passenger, his impatience , restlessness was clearly shown, he felt helpless , he can't do things until Tulsi is ready and allow him to do so. This man feels so helpless sad , angry mixture of all, He doesn't want her to feel smaller in front of him , neither liking the treatment she is getting vs his. As a reader, kitna achha laga tha ye padhne me, uneasy , angry, in verge of saying so but hold back, and finally could n't control. Tulsi decided to take the next step ,she did it with ease here (obvious it is not that easy to take the step at home, around so many eyes). Her determination to acknowledge herself is welcome.

Until this point I felt I am listening to a soothing music, fully into its rhythm. kudos. it;'s difficult to explain in words, but the feeling and the interaction happening between the couple can be felt , both silent talks and talks can be heard, overjoyed reading this.

The most fascinating thing for me is the Title - "My husband's suit". It does made sense Tulsi addressing it so, atleast she chose to admit it, and she herself is convinced . The crowd at the hotel received the info. Mihir must be on cloud nine, it might be surprising to him, but the excitement of they both sharing the room over powered, , his inner voice has to assure him it's for real, the dream woven into reality , he has to pinch himself.

The discrimination definitely duniya ki yhi dastoor hai , status ke upar hi nirbhar karta hai ki aapko kya milnewala hai. Jab tak naam na ho duniya me tab tak , you will be treated ordinary, Mihir getting annoyed is so him. Tulsi has to convince on this part, Mihir bhi kahan maanne wale tha , and he is no wrong, Bandhej has potential, Tulsi rightly pointed out, until she present her craft and appreciated by the business world it is bound to happen.

All big giants once went thru this:"Kyunki mujhe pata hai main yahaan kyun aayi hoon," she said. "Aur woh wajah kisi ke treatment se badi hai" shayad safalta ki yahi seedhi hai, being gronded , utilize the stage and put across your thoughts and ideas. (in fact tum ladayi shuru mat karna, Maine abhi kuch plan bana k rakhi hai ,smiley2)

These nuances are so beautifully written.

Initial conversation at the reception, Mihir's disappointment knowing she received a standard room vs he getting a Luxury suite. He was about to fight or upgrade but Tulsi had voluntarily initiated and announced her decision to stay at his room. She never even asked him whether he is okay with her decision to share his room , neither Mihir opposed. it is the most natural thing happened. they need not have to formally ask and confirm. kuch cheeezein self explainatory hoti hai.

Once she chose not to be called as his wife, he was not given the right to even call her his wife, but today she publicly accepted the truth. This definitely is not a show put up for the public, but she wanted it. The laxman Rekha she drawn has been disappearing slowly, I do not want to say it wiped off, but yes it's her heart accepted Mihir as her husband, with all his flaws.

Tulsi teasing him , if I have not chosen the same suite you could have come to my room 10times a day, so true , probably she saving herself from the embarrassmentsmiley36. The reality and the teasing was answered by more funnier way ,Mihir koi mauka kyun chodega?? The fact is Mihir n Tulsi both know this bahana baaji is not right 😛.

Reception to the suite the distance looked so very short and the banter , Mihir's happiness knows no bounds. it felt so surreal. it's not about them sharing a room or a bed, it's all about the acceptance ,willingness and the satisfaction they found in doing so.

it's phenomenal, Tulsi did the right thing, they didn't feel awkward sharing a room, they felt complete-the void has been filled. They lived there lives separately , even the balcony arrangement was their happiness nest, two of them after the Balcony conversation felt something is lost, or wo hota hai na kuch to missing hai feeling , despite having everything in your plate, wo khoj chuke hai, kaise kis cheez se uss missing thing to fit karna hai, they just did it by erasing the distance. So shayad ye ek aur naya step hai inke rishte ka.

the small, formal card somehow managing to hold both halves of who she'd become in the years apart and the years before them, side by side, in the same two lines.

Tulsi's thoughts -beautifully put and Mihir witnessed it.

Mihir's dilemma and hesitation to sleep over the bed, Tulsi herself guiding him towards the bed, abhi lag raha hai kitna kuch seekh liya dono ne ek dusre se door hoke? she admiring him looking at his sleeping form , after so long , sleeping herself facing him, she is completely drawn to him , it felt so real. and then Mihir staring at her with the same affection , iss pyar ko kya naam de??

the small moment between the two when she woke him up so close, definitely Mihir's mind is wondering is it for real? this whole para is beautiful again. They shared ice cream too, full ON writer. smiley40

Tulsi is sensible ,she knows how to keep officials and personals separately, the hotel staff relieved by Tulsi's words. I so liked Tulsi's stand here, whether small or big but the reason she is here is Bandhej and she shouldn't shy away from what is her identity as an entrepreneur.

Tulsi's cold intolerance and Mihir stating he already picked few of her shawls and thermal wear, still offers her to look for new one if she wishes to. and her knowing he knows her requirement and acknowledging, lag aha hai sab sahi jaa rha hai. padhne me bahot sukoon feel hua.

Their meeting Richard, initially he addressing and noticing as Mihir Virani's wife , later he is very happy to know about her business , Mihir took pride in introducing her as a a prominent business woman , he is so certain and confident on her work.

Richard giving her a piece of information that Mihir has not invited him home during her absence. some uneasiness and recovery , wow fabulous.

They unpacking and arranging things in the closet, Mihir safely holding his "mystery box"(though I know it's an open secret smiley16) , then beginning to hid under his clothes. Mihir to soch rha hai Tulsi ne nhi dekha, (but mujhe kya lag rha hai na she somehow know about the box, shayad ye nhi pata ki box ke andar kya hai), Mihir kuch chupa raha hai, kuch andar rakha, fir nikala, fir chupa rha hai kuch to ajeeb behavior hoga hi nhi (aisi cheezein ladies ko bahot zaldi samjh aati hai smiley36) lekin let her be curious of this.

He admiring her , Mihir ke liye to ye view hi hai uske har choti choti kaam, dressing , combing sab kuch jo miss hogya tha, aaj Mihir ke aankhein wo firse dekh rhi hai, nihar rhi hai. he is fond of her silky open hair (not just hersmiley36, bande ko chance dete to wo bhi gaa leta "Ye Rashmi Julfien:") kuch hadh tak Tulsi ko bhi shayad andaza hogya hoga ki Mihir is staring at her , aankhein chura rha hai, man hi man kuch kashmkash chal rha hai, then she broke his trance by the right question(kyunki ladies vastav me jeeti hai smiley36) -what time to wake him up in the morning.

Mihir bahot kuch bolna chahta hai how he missed her , how he could not sleep peacefully all these years, how her absence haunted him but kuch bhi nhi bata sakta at least not the very first day they entered the room together ( Ye naye naya arranged marriage wali Jodi lag rhi hai , old school , purane movies ki Tarah , but bahot purity hai issmesmiley27). Aaj shayad Mhir ko sukoon ki neend mile aur aaram se so jaye.

Arre Mihir to resist hi nahi kar pa rha , kya baat hai. (bilkul cinematic drishya hai yesmiley43) he touching her hair finally , jaise shock laga ho, haath peache khinchna, remote ka bahana banana. then "*Usne dekha toh nahi?* it gave so much joy reading their encounters.

Before closing her eyes checking weather he took medicines, this is what they were missing the most , the presence, warmth, contentment, affection and the strong pillar.

Mihir waking up suddenly , with the fear of being his other side of the bed empty , but he is at peace finding her beside him- he uttering himself This is my home. It tells how this couple has built their lives , nurtured, lived and now he learnt valuing it. The complete picture of her going away from SN to her coming back, her staying away, then their balcony conversations to till reaching this room together , sharing a bed , aisa laga poori zindagi samne aagyi ek dum se. Mihir ne apni khushi ki chaabhi talash li hai. he now knew the key to his happiness Tulsi se ho ke aati hai. His silent tears how he would have lost her , everything played infront of him. His gratitude for having her by his side , he praying silently This part has been favorites it's so beautiful.

He knew her stirring, but don't want her to know that he is observing her, looking at her she is sleeping and then he does the same. He waking up again at 4.30 and assuring himself , sleeping with contentment all over. Insan bhi ajeeb hota hai , kuch cheez ko diloan jaan se chahta hai, apni neend , khana peena bhulakat, par jab wo mil jaati hai na , tab bhi so nahi paata, yakeen nhi karpata ki usske saath ye sach me ghat rha hai. Mihir ke saath wohi ho rha hai.

Tulsi ko bhi same feelings hai , but dono ka issue jeene ka, samjhne ka, aur accept karne ka tareeka alag hai.

Let them sleep peacefully.smiley36
