Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Both #EktaaKapoor and #TVF have created content that has not only been successful but has also turned into instant classics. So there was genuine anticipation when they came together for this film. Thankfully #TheVvaan lives up to that anticipation.

Without revealing much about the plot, this is easily innovative films you will see in cinemas this week. It tries something different with its storytelling and explores themes that have rarely been seen on the big screen.

Movie takes the richness of Indian folklore and builds an expansive fantasy world around it, mixing romance, mystery, action and adventure while keeping its central characters at the heart of the story. The performances add to the overall experience.

#SidharthMalhotra is very good in the central role. He brings the required physicality to the character while also handling the emotional portions well. The action sequences are engaging and he brings vulnerability to the quieter moments.

#TamannaahBhatia complements him well, bringing elegance and an emotional layer to her character. Their chemistry works and adds to the emotional side of the story. She also looks beautiful on screen.

The supporting cast also does well in their respective roles. #ShwetaTiwari #SunilGrover #AnupSoni and #ManieshPaul all make their presence felt and add value to the film.

The VFX, however, aren't equally convincing throughout. Some portions look impressive, while others fall short of the scale the film is aiming for.

Overall #TheVvaan is an ambitious and refreshing attempt that deserves credit for trying something different. The film has enough going for it to connect with the audience and its early advance sales have already created curiosity. Now, the real test begins at the box office.

I watched the movie in a mostly empty theatre (3pm show).

The good : BGM/score and songs were nice.

I agree with the rating of 3(+0.5)

It is a good one time watch, tbh.

The screenplay (and jokes) were okayish, very reference comedy, hit and miss.

They tried something like Kantara but it's not on that scale in terms of any parameters - music, acting, direction, story, nada.

If you want to relax and watch a mid no brainer, 100-150 ki ticket le Lena, usse jyada nahi. Iske upar ka paisa wasool nahi hoga

It might work well with the Bihar, UP belt (places that prominently celebrate Chhath puja) because of the familiarity factor.

If you love nature, do watch it. The visuals were good.
