I think I read on X the callback to the initial show promos- where they show the rose with the thorns and the guy says- main kisi ko tumhe choone bhi nai doonga. Now ain't that right.

See, I wasn't a fan of that "chhoone bhi nahi doonga" promo because it implies possessiveness rather than protectiveness. Today, it was Jeet being protective, but instead of "chhoone nahi doonga" he told Saumya to release herself.

That's a little better than the promo in my opinion. He didn't do it himself. He gave Saumya the agency to, because if Saumya wanted to be held by Sarthak, she could've let her hand be right there. She didn't. Which Jeet knew, and read correctly, and just stood there motivating her. And that's so much better than "I won't let anyone touch you".

Jeet might be the thorns protecting the rose in that promo, but they don't exist to keep the flower to themselves; they don't exist to possess the flower. They exist to protect, while letting people who are truly worthy to appreciate the rose.

Oh yeah I agree. The initial promos gave this Kabir Singh vibe which is saturating our Screens these days. À la Animal, toxic and the likes. Yuck.

Jeet is way different than any of those bozos. I just felt that there was a callback to the promo in the sense that when the flower in the girls voice says what if someone will pluck me the thorn says I won't let them touch you.

Jeet always has been about giving Saumya agency and the ability to chose. He's been keeping shut on this Sarthak issue and if you notice has also been maintaining his distance from Saumya esp since the rishta Pakka. I found it remarkable that during the entire Janmashtmi epi, Saumyas eyes were searching for him everywhere while he was keeping to himself.

He's there to protect, not overbear and intrude.

Shit must really hit the ceiling with how Sarthak treats Saumya in the hospital that he had to jump in with those tears in his eyes and finally lose his composure.

On a side note, since Aman Verma is shooting for 2 shows concurrently, I think all his scenes were shot separately and boy did he look MAHA CREEPY. Gosh Kya vile acting ki hai.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't Aman an accused party as a result of a sting operation years ago?

He looks so believable in this role Mujhe baar baar us incident ki yaad aati hai.

Last observation for the night-

How fabulous an actor is Ishan? Like seriously. Chemistry with anyone and everyone. Even Sarthak 😆🤣

Also take Ridhaans actor. I was making fun of how poor his acting has been. But since he went on an overdrive scene pack with Jeet- his scenes have suddenly become elevated. That's the power of a brilliant actor. That not only does he look good, he makes others around him look good too.

On that note, Deb has been decent these past 2 epis as welll. There were no enunciation issues. I loved her sass in ydays epi and how Well she clocked Jeet. Her teasing was very endearing. And then her being all breathless with the entangled hockey stick was nicely done.

Also she played her part well today esp in that puppy dog eyes please sir scene.

I just saw this! Was about to post! As expected. Somu ji didn't have the courage to stand up.

I'm happy to see ki Jeet ka ghar se nikalo nai kiya Papa Mathur ne. Mast terrace pe work out kar raha hai.

Happy to see some roothna manana going on. Somu is getting bolder by taking out those earbuds.

But yeah I'm with you Jeet on this one. Aasani se manna mat. Somu needs to realize what she's doing.
