( SL recently Allowed people in the stadium free during ind v SL test #1 so more peoples still keep their interest in test matches )

East Zone have won the toss and have opted to bat

As for South Zone, they have received a major boost following the addition of Devdutt Padikkal and Mohammed Siraj who joined the camp after India's tour of Sri Lanka. They're led by Tilak Varma who played a big role in his team's win in the semifinal over North Zone, scoring the only hundred in the match.

Expect the cricket-loving public to turn up in their numbers to watch a bunch of stars in action from both teams. We have Vaibhav Sooryavanshi who top-scored for East Zone in the semifinal a few days ago. He's also the vice captain for his team which is led by Ishan Kishan. Then there is Mohammed Shami who will play his 100th first-class match.
