You just picked the term self awareness up , until a minute ago you didn't know what that was , and you have already used it to illustrate you have none. Yes ,that is indeed an improvement ,I agree.

I don't engage with those whose two brain cells are fighting for their lives

They are constantly belittling horrifying reality of sex slavery because they love abusers, quoting them or engaging with them is an insult to women who chose most excruciating pain of their life over being touched by these people's favorite men

3 people have turned this thread into absolute garbage, what happened to discussing normally?

Such abusive language, sexual insults aimed towards me for no reason, no wonder such people are in love with abusers and hate victims

You are discussing with a man then aiming sexual insults at women who have nothing to do with this because that's your default mode, another misogynistic man applauded your sexual remarks towards me, out of nowhere, and this one is married living in USA, what are these people?

Blocking them for my piece of mind, not that blocking here works because 2, I have blocked before but both are not taking a hint

No surprises there. smiley36

I would however suggest you open a new thread to quench your obsession and delusions regarding my d1ck. I would be more than happy to help you there. smiley1

While I'm completely open to indulging with the crazies (you can call it my professional weakness), I will not be able to treat u anymore on this thread. For further treatment contact me on some other thread. I will offer necessary help & treatment to you there, free of cost. (Because i do believe in social service and crazies like you running wild in the open are a grave threat to others).v🧑‍⚕️💊🩺

This is your final dose from me on this thread.

See u in some other thread...🚑

Bhaskar has got a taste of her medicine but the best comment that followed her creepy nonsense was this one ..

"If swara was in place of rani padmavati, khilji would've done jauhar"smiley37

My 2 cents , we are nobody to judge their decisions , bec we dont know what those brave warriors and their families faced . Under what conditions they took this step ..even in recent times , during the partition , thousands of women chose suicide over getting raped & converted. So question them also ? Khilji times was thousand times worse. Its a pity , not a word against the barbaric acts and the rulers . Comparing them to "rape survivors" is 🤮

See, the problem is that some people think calling out the systematic oppression which forced women to take route is Islamophobic for these people because they are unable to separate perpetrators who happen to be Muslims from the religion so they support everything and start hating on victims for not offering their bodies to the men these people love

Does anyone support Hitler because he was a Catholic?

You'd find support for Hitler now because same people now hate Jewish community

These religious nuts and leftists sucking up to them, are the problem

Like you don't have to support the perpetrators because they belonged to your religion, I dont see Christians in India crying or blaming victims when we mention atrocities by Britishers

Just went through the enlightening discussion in this thread .... So few points from my side.. smiley36

Before Islamic invasions started happening Gurjar Pratihars, palas, rashtrakutas were at loggerheads with each other.. Rashtrakutas and Chalukyas were fighting down south.. No instance of en masse suicide or self immolation recorded

Post islamic invasions Marathas started expanding and at one point held a major chunk of Indian territory.. Again no instance of Jauhar..

Jauhar, an extreme method of suicide, clearly happened in a definite time period when Islamic invasions were happening... How come women were not getting indoctrinated regarding honor and chastity by Hindu patriarchs before and after muslim invasions ?? Since empires and kings were falling before and after them also...

Fact of the matter is that those women might have lived with or without their kingdom, with or without their men had the marauding army had some principles at least... Shifting blame for their agony from Muslim aggressors to Hindu patriarchy does not make any sense whatsoever..

By 1947 people did devise better ways to die btw.. Painful method of burning ur body got ditched... Drinking poison, death by drowning.. The methods of killing oneself evolved .. What did not evolve is the mentality to capture women, parade them as cattle and sell them off... Happened to us in 1947, 1971, 1991... Happened to yezidis to as recently as 2014... From medieval India to modern times....and these are not the only incidents unfortunately... If Indian military falls, again we would be facing same critical choices to die or become sex objects or flee....which people in pockets of India still face.. Its just that laws, the policing, the civil society keep things somewhat, just somewhat in check...

Fighting against patriarchy, honor killings and for rape survivors can happen and need to happen.. But it can be done without bringing Jauhar into the context.. Jauhar is the thing of the past which happened at a specific time period when confronted with blood thirsty and lust driven army of uncouth men who had no dignity for the living or dead... No rape survivor today needs to feel that she needs to die looking at Padmavat.. She deserves support, counselling and healing.. Rape is a crime in today's India, burning women is a crime in today's India ... It was not the case in Khilji's era ...

Lastly its not about glorification of Jauhar.. Fallen soldiers are respected... Those who do not change their principles as in case of these women, even in the face of death are to be respected.. Even if principles itself can change and evolve over centuries.. The sentiments driving the decision, those who understand, will always revere them...

Talking about Patriarchy, did we watch the same movie? In Padmavaat it was Rani Padmavati's independent decision to commit jauhar as per the movie. the men were dead in the battle. they did not throw the women into fire. so what is the problem here? I loved how it was portayed in Padmavaat. After all that karni sena drama and getting banned in several states, the movie did such huge business. more power to Deepika.

I think the point is that we should stop judging the decisions taken by women back then by the standards of the situation and world of 2026.

Also, the fact that Jauhar women were not rape surviours rather trying to save themselves from being raped and becoming sex slaves. They literally took such a hard and painful way to end their life bcoz they knew that even their dead body too were not safe from being exploited.

& today's women shouldn't be shamed for being rape victims, and they should have a life forward.

Also, the sad thing is that in both cases, it is not the men who are rapists who are being called out and shamed; rather, it is women whose decisions, actions, character, and life are being dragged and questioned.
