IMHO You can definitely watch it without reading the book....It just helps to know a few basics about the story first, and google can give you a quick overview in a few minutes....

There are a few major twists and turning points that are much more satisfying if you understand why they matter.... It also helps to know a little about the monsters, the Greek gods, and ancient Greek customs and traditions, since they explain many of the characters' choices and motivations....

In some ways, the story is a bit like the Ramayana.....The hero Odysseus, after the war of Troy, is trying to cross the seas, overcoming monsters and countless obstacles with the help, and sometimes the interference, of the gods, to return to his wife.... Meanwhile, she remains at home, resisting a group of suitors who are pressuring her to marry one of them because they believe her husband will never return....

I recently saw Sunny Deols 2025 movie Jaat. It was average

It was below average. Good songs and some good dialogue. But overall it’s meh.

But, even as a devoted pirate, I actually watched Obsession and The Drama in the theatres.

...speaking of which, watched even The Odyssey

...absolutely loved it.. every bit of it.. I walked out wanting to experience it again immediately! Nothing more to say..

The Odyssey

I saw the Odyssey I loved the acting, direction and cinematography.

I rate it around 7.5/10.

Some scenes I liked are the Circe scene, dog scene, bow scene, and fight climax scene.

Main vaapas aaunga

I loved the acting and songs I loved Diljit, Sharvari, Vedang and Naseeruddin. Danish Pandor and Banita are also in the movie. The love story between Keenu and Jiya was sweet and I enjoyed their scenes most. Diljit was also very convincing. Some partition scenes were disturbing. It was a bittersweet ending as expected.

The film was a slow burner. The movie takes at least 35 minutes to take off.

Me too.

I found the plot very messy..they want us to believe its true love if they give up everything & be with the person they love, even if it gives them immense pain . It sounds good only in movies not practically..

Only 1 dialogue in the whole movie made sense to me , it was the hero's father who said "don't repeat the mistake I made & ruin yourself for the person you love" . But he still went ahead & did it ..with a happy ending Idk how ..

There was aashiqui 2 , that one was bang on ! I only compare these 2 bec the themes were very similar (and songs were great in both of them ..) ..there it was the heroine who is a Rockstar here it was the hero..I still cry when I watch aashiqui 2 , with saiyara I didnt feel anything , jabki there were videos of ppl crying their hearts out in the theater 😢
