There were two stupid things the writers did around the 50th ep - Aaru's engagement / dream proposal - that made me go 'Oh... oh... this show is going down'. One was RB not mentioning to his family that A is married - all the family drama follows from this - and second was Appu chosing to work for HoB (a mistake they could've avoided by not showing the other option she had). She is stuck because of this choice.
But... as the 'Great Sage AdiandSidanandateertha' once famously said 'Ab Bhukto'.
Even that stooopid R-M partnership was no less.. mission na se haan 
the incessant need to keep A around him even when she should have been concentrating on her divorce (that nonsensical bday party) which only made things worse
