While I’m still working on the points, I thought it would only be fair to share the answers to all the puzzles here. Hopefully you got some points from these puzzles!

6-person logic puzzles

The Grand Bake-off Finale

6 bakers are competing in the final round of a bake-off. Each baker comes from a different city and has prepared a unique signature bake. Your job is to deduce which baker is from which city and what they baked.

Bakers: Arthur, Beatrice, Carlos, Diana, Evan, Fiona

Cities: Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Miami, Seattle

Signature bakes: croissants, eclairs, fruit tarts, lemon meringue, macarons, souffle

Clues:

1) Fiona is from Boston, but she didn’t bake the lemon meringue.

2) The baker who made the croissants is from Miami.

3) Diana made the eclairs, but she is not from Seattle.

4) Carlos is from Austin.

5) Beatrice made the souffle, but she is not from Denver or Chicago.

6) The baker from Chicago made the macarons.

7) Arthur is not from Miami.

Answer:

Arthur is from Chicago and made the macarons

Beatrice is from Seattle and made the souffle

Carlos is from Austin and made the lemon meringue

Diana is from Denver and made the eclairs

Evan is from Miami and made the croissants

Fiona is from Boston and made the fruit tart

Crossclimbs

Crossclimb # 1

The idea here is that you have to solve each clue for a 5-letter word and then re-order the words so that only 1 letter changes at a time. For example, train to trail is N becoming L. These things aren’t done in order, but rather together. So for example, for train the clue could be “a competition route” but on its own that clue could point to 100 different things. To get points you need to get both the words right and put them in the right order. These are all 5 letter words.

Clues:

1) A severe or bare quality

2) A pile of objects

3) A dark colour

4) To look fixedly

5) Loose or lacking tension

Answers:

FYI either order works (starting from black or from stare).

STARE = to look fixedly

STARK = a severe or bare quality

STACK = a pile of objects

SLACK = loose or lacking tension

BLACK = a dark colour

Sudoku

Sudoku 1

The way this sudoku is played that you still have to put 1 through 9 in each row, column, and 3x3 box only once, but along with that the dashed areas have to add up to the number in the corner.

Answer

Note that this is just an example. This sudoku does have a few answers so as long as your answers fit the answers, it will get points.
