The gorgeous Deepika Padukone will be leading the 28th Indian Day Parade as Grand Marshal on August 17 to celebrate India's 61st Independence Day.
This year, Madison Avenue in Manhattan has been chosen as the venue, by Federation of Indian Associations (FIA). this year. Also, present at the occasion will be former Indian President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. The parade, biggest celebration of India's independence outside India, attracts around 50,000 people.
Last year, it was Priyanka Chopra, who had the honor of leading the parade while Indian American astronaut Sunita Williams was the Guest of Honor.
Well, we wonder how many present at the occasion are for patriotic reasons and how many to see the beautiful Bollywood beauties sashay down for the parade!
