Also, not all pro India movies are government backed. Not all movie makers are anti nationals. Some actually love their countries.

Anyways, Alia is a weak and incapable actress. She gets awards because of her actions and lobbies. Everyone knows that.

Aliya did not deserve any national award for any of her roles, she is less than average actress

The part in bold - this smiley32

NA has become too easy to get by lobbying and having someone in jury and what not. its still prestigious to get but lost its value.

I'm glad he didn't for Chak de. Propaganda movies like that shouldn't earn the lead actor any awards.

Swades I agree. Much better than Jawan which is a garbage movie.

I don't know the real story and dont really care much about finding out because CDI was really well made and I really liked it as a kid. indulging in the politics will ruin the memories attached to it.

@Bold, We're fundamentally different then. I stand against propaganda. You do you. Everyone follows their chosen path.

Nostalgia factor alone can not make me look away or ignore the obvious narrative that they'd been running all these years. Not any more. My conscience will not allow it.

Isn't it interesting that this narrative you bring wasn't an issue when the movie released but became one with the new narrative peddled since quite some time? The 'big' awakening for those who favour to distinguish people by religion and not by character... and voilà, a patriotic movie becomes a 'propaganda' one (and ChakDe wasn't a biopic, btw) ... wow... and a franchise or a movie which doesn't condemn everything/everybody Pakistani should - n o w - get rejected... yeah... great ...(2012 Ek Tha Tiger wasn't an issue, yet, right?)

False narrative. it took Indians 20 years to realise how BW/YRF selectively distort or fabricate facts to fit a specific agenda and manipulate perceptions.

The 2007 Bollywood film Chak De! India was heavily inspired by the redemption story of former Indian national hockey team goalkeeper, Mir Ranjan Negi. He not only inspired the lead character Kabir Khan, but he also served as the official hockey consultant and trainer for Shah Rukh Khan and the cast.

According to some if a murder case is not solved in last twenty years , the murderer should be allowed to go scott free ! Hey, you need to understand he wasn't caught for last two decades , which means he should never be caught and brought under the punishment of law. smiley9 I'm mesmerised by the logic! smiley20

No, definitely we should only support movies where they'd show our national officers working alongside and romancing agents from a terrorist organization like ISI. And shame our country, culture and religion. That should be our goal and our pride ! smiley14 Because only India should follow this and Pakistan and it's people are free to wish for death of India and it's people. smiley9

Ganga Yamuna Tehezib brought to you by Pakistani members, German bots and Urduwoowd toolkit gang. smiley16
