Oh 100%. See the hydration breaks were never meant for the players. They were meant for the broadcasters to show more ads. It's why there is so much pushback on them. In Qatar when they had the hydration breaks, the attention stayed on the field, not on "let's stuff 3 ads here".
And that's why I said (and several former and current players and coaches have said) that the decision for a hydration break in a game should be with the coaches of the teams playing that match. But that won't happen anytime soon.
Imagine that, prior to the match, Switzerland wants hydration breaks, but Argentina doesn't. Who will make the final call then?
