Not necessarily, it’s possible it happens when the truth is out and it’s revealed that Tulsi lied to protect Nandini. She knew that Karan would be absolutely devastated to lose his son and she didn’t want him to think that Nandini could kill Parth easily because she’s his stepmother.

Gautam would then fume again about Karan being Tulsi’s favourite child because she would go to jail to save his wife and marriage but wouldn’t even let him have the majority of assets
